Misleading! Poor customer service!

I was initially attracted to this website as I wanted to make a single search of the electoral register. The offer was presented as 5 searches for £3.99. More than I needed but as it was the minimum I went for it. Registered with the website and paid by debit card. Three months later I realised that £3.99 was being debited every month. Puzzled I contacted customer services to cancel and get a refund. I was was told that I should have read the terms and conditions and that a full refund would not be given. I was offered one months payment as a good will gesture, despite having never used the service since nor even logging on after my first use of the site.
