All the benefits written by other users about FTB are true. I just want to add, that the support is the best I ever experienced. After I changed to a Mac they instantly made it possible to maintain the data in the web version. As I loved to work with FTB, I installed Parallels desktop plus Windows 8 plus FTB 7.00 on my Mac and they instantly instructed me how to change back to maintenance of my family tree to FTB. I have been with my Heritage since 2010. The upgrade to 7.0 is fantastic. Super Search is much easier, we can make corrections before we confirm Smart Matches, and there is much more, I am certain, that I have not been able to look into. I have used my heritage since 2010. Recently upgraded to 7.00 . Really like the smart matching - helps find missing lines of family.The layout is easy to follow and photos easy to add. Where one spouse has died and another married easy to record and distinguish the family line. Like the area where notes or facts can be added. Recently I required customer service help with renewing my subscription. My Heritage was quick to respond to my needs. I waited less than 3 hours before I was in receipt of a response from their customer service. They are friendly and helpful. I've dealt with a competitor's site customer service and I can say the My Heritage site goes above and beyond the service of the competitors site. The relationship started off well, subscribed to Premium Plus, went well for 12 months. After a Myheritage update around October 2012 we lost hundreds of photo's, had some weird things happen to our data. Support response started ok then we had to chase up, response was slow and got no where. Still haven't heard any promised response from early January 2013. Could be much better support, still no photo's or further response after a drawn out emailing to and fro. (read more)

This is a top site for researching anything to do with family from the distant past. I found 2 of my mothers sisters that I had never heard of, as I had been brought up in a childrens home and not with my own relatives. Learning was initially by trial and error. Then came publishing. My mistakes were quickly corrected by Shackar of My Heritage support. There is still a lot of learning to be done but we are getting there. Wehave confidence that with the support of My Heritage success will prevail. Dislikes: With the old family tree is was possible to edit smart matches into the tree simply and quickly. Apparently this must now be done manually? Well not really, but I have found My Heritage to be a pretty amazing experience in tracking my closet skeletons. Hey, convicts, bigamists, and hanky panky. How good does it get! But seriously I was amazed at being able to enter an ancestor and have immediately notified matching searches from other descendants come up.
