I'm an author. Within a few hours after publishing an eBook on Smashwords, a company called Booksreadr.org had my wife and I's eBook linked to the sign in page of MediaBLK. They had already altered the introduction information about the book and made it their own. I entered information they asked for to do a "FREE" trial so that I could try to pursue my investigation of the book. And never got free access to anything. Every time I click on something a window pops up telling me to upgrade for 9.99. So, I tried to cancel membership. You can't do that without paying them, and then there is no guarantee that they will release your card information. They have a ridiculous loop they send you in for the cancelation, and forget about trying to get these people on the phone. This isn't over for us yet, and after reading some of the other posts, we may have to cancel our credit card too. Mediablk is a horrible business and we may have to peruse legal action against them for pirating of books. Beware! Do not go there!

Never even signed up for this website. Don't even know what kind of website this is but had charges on my credit card for it.

This company is the worst kind of internet company. They entice you into signing up for a "Free 5 day Trial" period and then unless you cancel within the "Free 5 day Trial" they start stealing your money. Even if you cancel your "Free Trial" they still charge you and apparently (according to other victims) you will never see the money again. I am in the UK and the international contact phone number given won't work. Under no circumstances sign up for anything offered by this site.

This Forum is probably the best forum that i have ever used and i would just like to say how proud i am to be a member of this forum

I signed up for a free 5 day trial with this company but didn't like anything on it so I cancelled the same day I signed up. A few weeks later I found 2 transactions on my credit card, one for £1 and the other for £11.95, I came back to the website to find that my account was still active and they had charged me for a premium membership I never signed up for. I tried to cancel this too but was asked to pay another £1 just for cancelling. I am absolutely disgusted with this company and have emailed them but they are yet to reply. I was charged £13.95 in total without gaining anything at all and there is absolutely no way of getting it back.
