Recovering from a serious accident I am home in a hosoital bed, unable to walk.
My niece wanted to send some flowers. She knew I could not get to the door so arranged with a number of neighbours who wojld be available to rake thd package in if I was home alone.

I was alone, when there was a loud banging on the door followed almost immediately by the sound of a vehicle driving away. When the district nurse came, shortly afterwards, she brought in with her the flowers shich had been left outside. My front door opens straight on to the pavement of a very busy street. I do not even have doorstep. I am amazed that the box was still there. I checked and they definitely did not try any of the neighbours.

I emailed the company and waited five daysfir a eeply. They say they cannot take special instructions and that the driver is told to leave the flowers in a 'safe place'. Why he would imagine dumping them in the street would be safe I can't imagine.
