Ordered flowers in plenty of time for a birthday gift - they never arrived. No one tried to contact me, and when I eventually got through to the Bulgarian call centre, I was told the order was held up due to a technical issue?? They gave the option for re-delivery or cancellation. Needless to say I cancelled. A total waste of time - I wish I had read these reviews first! “Appalling customer service”

I recently ordered some flowers for my mother's 70th. Somehow, I accidentally managed to select an incorrect delivery date. I emailed them and received no response. I called them instead and was told by some very miserable person on the other end of the phone that they would contact the suppliers and ask them to change the date and confirm with an email. I ordered two bouquets for friends who had helped me move house. Frankly I was so embarrassed when I saw the bouquets that had been delivered. 75% of the roses were wilting on receipt and I would estimate there were about £10-worth of flowers in each bouquet (I paid £40). I complained and received a refund - but quite rightly too! If I hadn't I would have referred the matter to Trading Standards. The first bouquet wilted within hours. As the flowers were for the birthday of my 74 year old neighbour, we were both disappointed. I contacted customer services to let them know. They were extremely kind and efficient and offered a replacement. This has been delivered very quickly and the flowers are beautiful. My neighbour is chuffed to bits. I ordered some flowers for my daughter as a thank you gift, and ordered the larger bouquet . When my daughter showed me a picture of them I was very disappointed on how many flowers there was. If that was the large bouquet I would hate to see the small one, which I am sure that is what my daughter had received. I first ordered flowers for Mothers' Day this year, and paid for delivery bewteen 9am to 6pm on a Monday. The place to which I was sending the flowers closed at 6pm so this was fine, however the courier didn't arrive until after 6pm by which time the office was closed so the flowers had to be returned to the depot and my poor mum didn't get anything for Mother's Day! I really wish i had read these reviews before buying for mothers day. These flowers where expensive and not even worthy of 1 star. Dead roses more cheap foliage than anything else and freesias that opened dead. How a reputable retailer like Debenhams can can put a name to these begs belief. I received flowers for Mother's Day from my son who lives in Australia. He had them delivered the Thursday before Mother's Day to avoid the rush and poor quality and of cause because debenhams don't have a delivery service on a Sunday . They arrived Thursday ,six pink roses and two stems of lilies the roses were brown round the edges the lilies shut tight. I received flowers from my daughter for Mothers Day last Sunday and I could not beleive it when I opened the box. The really small bunch of lillies was pathetic. “Read Conditions-Flowers will not arrive on the date...”

Be careful to read the conditions before ordering. The date of delivery on the website is not when they will arrive. There is a tab that tells you this but you need to navigate to it. The only way to have flowers delivered on your choosen day is to pay for delivery. The pay for delivery option is not available to you and so it is not possible to have them delivered on a day. “Dead Flowers”

First time I have used Debenham Flowers and believe me I will never use them again. I ordered a rose for my partner and it arrived half dead ! When I contacted Debenhams they said the rose was half dead because I had not removed the protective leaves ! So what about the curled up dry crispy leaves then !! The last flowers l purchased was early January 2014 from Debenhams and their delivery service to Stowupland Suffolk was superb. My friend was thrilled with the flowers saying how lovely they were.
