“Mothers Day Flowers”

I received flowers for Mother's Day from my son who lives in Australia. He had them delivered the Thursday before Mother's Day to avoid the rush and poor quality and of cause because debenhams don't have a delivery service on a Sunday . They arrived Thursday ,six pink roses and two stems of lilies the roses were brown round the edges the lilies shut tight. Next morning the roses had heads down and leaves very dry the lilies were beginning to dry out. I sent email to debenhams flowers with a photos of flowers, I had a reply almost immediately saying how sorry they were and would send a replacement bouquet and large box of chocolates as compensation which should arrive the next day. They didn't arrive on the Saturday ,I knew they wouldn't come Sunday so expected them Monday , I did send another email to say they hadn't arrive to be told they would come Tuesday this went on all week , phone calls emails everyday ,I eventually got a call from customer service on Friday morning they promised I would get the flowers chocolate and a bottle of wine for all my trouble and they would come via a different courier the next day because of all the problems they have had with the present courier. So I waited in all day Saturday because silly me I really thought that person was telling me the truth how wrong can you be . I sent an email on Sunday saying I had , had enough and would rather have a refund the the value of flowers , chocs ,and wine. The flowers etc arrived Monday nice bouquet but the roses had brown edges I rang Debenhams to be told I should remove the outer petals which are there to protects the flower in transit I have never heard such a thing all flowers have to travel at some time if don't think they are grown with a protective petal. Myself nor my son or any of my friends when I tell them this saga will ever buy flowers from debenhams flowers again
