I ordered my flowers on-line early in the morning for same day delivery, thinking this was a local florist based on their advertisement. In the afternoon I got an email saying urgent, please contact. When I contacted them they stated the flowers I chose are now no longer available and it was too late to send any that day, that I needed to pick another option. My choices were an orchid plant or a dozen roses. This was for Boss' day, so I didn't feel a dozen roses was appropriate to send to a boss. For $100 you would think they had more options than an orchid plant (that I can buy at my local nursery or grocery store for $20) or a dozen roses.

Ordered - Lighthearted Moments Mini Rose Plant - sub container was a clay pot and not even a drip plate -- this was pictured with a basket - I understand "Rose color and container will vary depending on local availability." but a clay pot and NOTHING else would NEVER trust he Avas Flower Network again and you should not either.

“Disgusting Business”

We ordered flowers for our anniversary, after several days post our placing an order we get a email after the delivery time and date setforth with Avas Flower They no longer can supply the flowers we ordered, they could not have notified us since they had the order for days before hand. But had to wait the day the flowers were suppose to be delivered to tell, then gave us a hard time because we wanted a refund for non performance of the order DO NOT EVER USE THESE FOLKS PERIOD

“Worst online order ever”

I ordered an 85.00 orchid to be delivered and an ugly plant was sent. I tried contacting them 3 times with no return response. How they stay in business is beyond me. My advice is to order somewhere else. I would have given them a zero star if it were an option!

Did not deliver flower arrangement for funeral. SHAME ON YOU! Never sent a communication that the arrangement was not delivered. When asked - just immediately offer to credit account.

“Not Local Florist - Don't order”

I ordered a dozen roses for my daughter-in-law birthday and was assured they would be delivered the next day, her birthday. I received no confirmation. I called the day after the date of delivery to check. The representative said he would check with his driver and call back. No return call. I didn't know if they had been delivered or not. I called again and once again had a 10 minute wait on the phone. The flowers had not been delivered. I cancelled the order and asked for a refund. The rep argued with me. I finally called my credit card company and disputed the charge. This company is NOT Reputable.I hope this saves someone else from having the problems I did.

“Company needs to be shut down”

Flowers looked nothing as pictured, they claimed to have to substitute, were dead around all edges, 4$ card that was run through a printer and had ink lines all across it, delivered it a day late, ups delivery not hand delivered, total misrepresentation

I was very impressed with the ordering process and the follow-up call I received to tell me the recipient would be in ICU for another day so the flowers could not be delivered as ordered. We agreed on the subsequent day and the report back was that the flowers were just beautiful. After some unfortunate experiences with other FTD orders I am delighted to have found Avas Flowers. Not only were the flowers as promised, but the communication was great, Thanks so much

“Don't Order from this Company!”

I placed an order for Mother's Day flowers called Pastel Grace and Wonder. The option I chose was not the most expensive but it was $49.99 and the photo next to that option showed a beautiful full flower arrangement with a glass vase and wicker bow. After the "service fee" of $13.99 got added in, my total (with free shipping) was $63.98. On the invoice next to the photo it said "Similar as possible, same look and feel". Well, the flowers came and boy was I disappointed. I got the glass vase and wicker bow, but that was about all that was similar to the photo they had on line. There were only 3 roses, 6 carnations, 2 lilies and some greenery. I spent $63.00 for that! When I contacted the company and sent them a photo, they informed me that "Upon reviewing the arrangement that you ordered and confirming with the designer, we have determined that the flowers sent are within the recipe and guidelines that the bouquet called for, in the size that you ordered. If any minor substitutions were made, they fall within our Substitution Policy guidelines. Therefore, your order meets the product description." So long story short, they did not give me what I ordered, I spent way too much money for nothing, and since they would not admit they are basically cheating the public, I will not be doing business with them again. I highly recommend that you go elsewhere for your flowers.

“DON'T DO IT”

I tried to place an online for an orchid to be delivered to a funeral. The website froze up on me and I had to call their customer service number. I should have just went to the local grocery store and purchased something there. Long story short, the guy told me he would give me a better price than I could get online. Needless to say, he didn’t. They actually charged me an additional $18.93 more and I’m unsure what that “service charge” was for. I can tell you that it wasn’t for their outstanding service! He couldn’t understand English and the sympathy card that I paid an addition $4 for was wrong. I paid for an orchid. They called me twenty minutes later and told me that I couldn’t get an orchid but reassured me that they would deliver something just as beautiful. What they sent was a green rubber tree looking thing for the same price as an orchid! I could have gone to the grocery store and paid $15 for that, the note/card would have been free and my name would have actually been on the card but I chose to trust this company. I paid $85 and didn't even get my name listed on the sympathy card. I am so horribly disgusted and disappointed with this company and the service that I received. I would NOT recommend that anyone use this ever. You will not get what you pay for!

“95th birthday plant”

We called and ordered a banzai gardenia with buds or flowers. The person taking the order told us there were 13 buds on the plant. Three days later we arrived at the party, 95th so it was a big deal. There were no buds on the plant. Not sure what the fellow taking the order was looking at but it definitely did not have one but, let alone 13. This place sucks.

“Worst Company ever for punctuality”

My boyfriend ordered a bouquet of flowers for me for Valentines Day supposed to be UPS next day air. Well it is the 18th of February and they still haven't arrived. Maybe I will get them by Easter, horrible customer service and delivery time.

“Do not order from AVAS”

This was the worst experience, I've had in my life ordering flowers for Valentine day. I received text confirmation that my order was delivered at 6.45 on Thursday. Nothing was delivered. Called customer service 5 times automated callback number. Says to leave a number and then you hit the prompts. Phone line hangs up on you every time!! When I emailed, they falsely confirmed time of delivery and name of the driver. Delivery only happened on Friday close to 8 pm. Not only they delivered late, but also they were inaccurate about the delivery several times.

I placed my order at 10:30 in the morning, thinking I had plenty of time to get the flowers to their destination that day since everything says Same Day Delivery. 2 hours later I received an email saying my order was on track. 10 min after that (around 1:30pm) I was told that my order was NOT going to be sent out today. If you advertise SAME DAY DELIVERY, you need to be able to hold up your end of the deal! ESPECIALLY since I didn't order last minute! The destination for these flowers were 0.8 miles down the road from Avas Flower Shop, and I was told MULTIPLE times that they could not deliver them today. Are you kidding me!? I can understand if it was across town, or in the Valley, fine. But it's not even a mile down the road! So I cancelled my order and got a refund. After cancelling my order with Avas I called Chets Flowers and they were able to get my order out in 2 hours! And they had a farther drive to deliver! They saved me and I HIGHLY recommend CHET'S!!! Long story short, I will NEVER do business with Avas again and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone!!! Don't waste your time with this poor excuse for a business.

“Very Disappointed and Frustrated”

BEWARE! READ TO THE END: My experience with Avas was less than one star and absolutely terrible. Where should I start...I originally ordered the "Red, White and You" arrangement online under the "same day delivery" deal they had. This arrangement was for a woman that I was literally going out on a first date with on Sunday May 20th, so I wanted the flowers to show up before I did. I ordered them on Friday May 18th at noon. Order went thru, took my payment, and said they would be delivered to Worton MD address that day. Then everything fell apart from there. I received an EMAIL, not a call, that they would not be able to deliver the arrangement I ordered on the same day, AND they did not have that arrangement available (shouldn't be on the website to order if it wasn't available right!?) They also said in the email that they were "upgrading" my order to 24 roses at no additional cost, and THAT arrangement would and could be delivered by Saturday May 19th. They didn't send me any pics of the "replacement" arrangement so I had no idea what it looked like other than Roses. Btw, the original order was a mix of Lillie's, roses and several other flowers, now its just roses? Not sure how it was an "upgrade"? I settled for that deal, and thought the nightmare was over. Nope. I get another email stating that they cannot deliver to the address I gave on Saturday, it wouldn't get there until Tuesday May 22nd. Remember that date. So now I have gone from same day, to next day, to next week, and it was two days AFTER the date I was going on. I called the "customer service" and spoke to someone who was kind (not their fault), but she assured me that she could get the manager to make an exception and the Roses would be delivered on Saturday. I thought i was done. Again. Nope. I get an email Saturday telling me they are unable to deliver to the address on the weekend. I call customer service again, and the gentleman told me he was sorry, but there was nothing he could do to get them delivered Saturday, but he could get them there Sunday (the day of my date). At this point I was beyond frustrated, he did offer a $20 refund off a $59 order, but at this point it wasn't about the money to me. So I asked him that since they were going to be there Sunday, could I get the ORIGINAL order of the Red, White, and You arrangement sent instead of Roses. He assured me that they would send that arrangement, BUT, there was no way possible to get them there on Sunday, they would be delivered on Tuesday May 22nd. (remember that date from earlier) At this point i was done. I agreed to that date and THAT arrangement. So i was done now right!? NOPE! I get another email today, Monday May 21st stating that the arrangement I ordered was UNAVAILABLE, and they again upgraded me to a Lavender Fields arrangement (again NO pics) and had the audacity to say "at no additional cost to me, and they would be fresh from their "farm" like they did me a favor. Two guesses what date they are "supposed" to get delivered. Yup, Tuesday May 22nd. So I now have no idea what the flowers they are sending look like, have no idea what the vase looks like, and really don't believe they will arrive on Tuesday. This was supposed to be a simple kind gesture and turned out to be one of the worst purchases I have made in 45 years of my life! Btw, their "track your order" feature is useless. While all of this was happening, I was trying to "track my order" and all it said was "we have no information available at this time, check back later". Run, don't walk, to Pro Flowers. At least they CALL you if there is an issue. Not sure how this place got all the 4 and 5 star ratings, guess i was the lucky one to have a horrid experience.

“NOT a LOCAL florist”

WARNING! Ava's Florist has advertising and sales techniques to make you think that it is a local florist for whatever city or town you are searching. They are a call center in New Jersey. I ordered flowers for a funeral for a dear friend of my elderly parents. I was promised that the flowers would be delivered on Monday at noon. We spoke with family members and the funeral home, and there was no flower delivery. I called Ava's asking for a refund and was told the driver had 24 hours to deliver the flowers. Ava's called today to tell me the flowers were delivered to the WRONG funeral home (A local florist would not have made that mistake). I asked for my money back. They offered me a discount on delivery to one family member today. I again demanded my money back, and they offered me store credit for a future delivery. I told them I would never order from them again. Their website is deceptive, they did not deliver what was promised, and they didn't want to give me my money back. They eventually agreed to refund the amount. Still waiting on confirmation on the refund.

“Never delivered funeral arrangement ”

Like others, I thought this was a local florist in the town where the funeral was being held. I paid extra to have the flowers delivered early the next day, since the viewing was at 11:00 and the service was at 12:00. When we arrived at the funeral home, I noticed the flowers were not there. I checked with the people from the funeral home, and they looked to make sure nothing had been delivered, and the flowers were not there. I called Avas and explained to them that the flowers had not arrived, even though I had received an email that stated they had been delivered. The email came in at 10:25 that morning. The lady I talked to then offered to deliver a new arrangement the next day, even though I had told her the funeral was over. She then wanted to send flowers to the family at home. That would not work. I had told her at least 3 times that I wanted a credit applied back to my credit card. She then said she would have to check to see how to handle that. The company is happy to give you a credit to use on another order. Why on earth would I ever from them again? I did inform her that I would be calling the credit card company as soon as I hung up with her. She said she would call me back as soon as she had an answer-no call-back yet. I did call the credit card company and worked with them. They have flagged the transaction, and if it goes from pending to post, they will open a “dispute” file on it. I won’t have to pay for such terrible service or for something I never received.

I ordered the double stem purple planter orchid. From the website, I thought I was ordering from a local florist. I was going to order online, but wanted to make sure you had it in stock, so I called to make sure. I was put on hold while he checked, then told he did. I ordered this plant at 7:55 am, to go to a funeral at 12 , same day , I agreed to pay $9.99 delivery fee, even though the website I was ordering from said free delivery, to make sure it got there on time. At first when I called he said I could still get free delivery with the website coupon code. Then he told me he needed to charge me since I needed it there in 4 hours. My order started out $99. When he totaled it up, he said it would be $132. I asked why. He told me with express delivery fee($9.99), for the bow ($6) and card ($4) with our names on it and tax. I thought that was too high, but since I was pressed for time, I agreed. I got a call back from Avas Florist at 11:24 am, saying they had made a mistake. They did NOT have any orchids. Would I be willing to switch and get a dish garden or a Peace Lily or a Bromeliad ? I asked what they looked like and the cost. He told me the Bromeliad (not sure of spelling) was full of pink blooms and really big and pretty. So I chose it. I asked about the cost. He said Peace Lily is about $30, the Bromeliad $40 & dish garden varies. He said they could put 3 in a big basket to make it the value of $132 that was already charged to my credit card. I was not happy but did not have much choice since the service started in about 30 minutes and yall still had to deliver it. I went to the funeral. The plant that had my name on it, was one small plant about 20-23" high (including the basket) , looked like a corn stalk with 3 orange blooms on it. It was smaller than any of the Peace Lillys there. I was very disappointed. This was a really close friend and my gift looked insufficient. It certainly was not 3 big plants in a basket as was promised and it was not full of pink flowers, as was promised. At this point, I cannot un-do that damage, but I want a refund of the difference I had paid for a double orchid. I do NOT want to be charged $132 for the same plant. you charge other customers $40 for. I asked for a refund to my credit card for the difference No response. I kept calling different numbers until I got to actually talk to someone. He was courteous at first, but as I explained the situation, he apologized and then told me the only thing he could do for me was to give me a store credit of $20 on my next order. I told him there would never be another order, so that was not adequate. I want a refund of $90, or Avas to send the double purple orchid I paid for to begin with, at no charge to me. I argued with him about the value not being equal and after listening to me a few minutes, he hung up on me. Dont order from Avas Florist. Its not a florist.They are actuall in NJ, not a "local florist like it says on website". They just take the orders and add a lot of extra fees, then call a local florist to send you something different.

BUYER BEWARE - Choose another florist. These people are terrible and NOT LOCAL as they claim.
