I ordered flowers for a birthday in Holland. The flowers didn't arrive, despite having the correct address and a phone number and saying to leave them with a neighbour. I was told that they had tried to deliver but couldn't get an answer and so left a card. There was no card left.
When I phoned I got a helpful customer services girl, who told me the above and offered to get more flowers redelivered. When I said that I didn't think they had even tried to deliver she said that there is no obligation on the courier to phone the contact number, or to leave them with a neighbour - it would have been helpful to have that information beforehand.
I paid through PayPal and will now open a complaint.
