Preordered MGSV (My first purchase from SimplyGames) and my experience wasn't the best. Contacted them through Twitter twice to ask a question and I was completely ignored. Many of my friends preordered the same game 1 week before the release and received it within the next day, while I preordered more than two weeks ahead, the game was finally dispatched two days before release and on a Friday. As a result, their guarantee to get it at release day meant absolutely nothing and I received the game 1 day later. I understand Royal Mail can be bad at times (though I still don't get how they can take 5 days to send a package 1st class in southern UK), but SimplyGames could have just dispatched the game earlier and not on a Friday before bank holiday, especially when they did the same for other people.
In summary:
- Bad customer service on Twitter
- Guarantee to receive a preordered game at release day apparently doesn't mean anything
- Still, recommending their service because their price was the lowest I found, and my friends seemed to have better luck preordering the same game
