Disaster for selling on.

We used to sell using Playtrade, and although we didnt sell a lot, was still worth our while. The account we used had no monthly subscription, and we paid fees/commission which were sensible.

Just went in to check, and all our listings had been ended, and we had nothing for sale. Would explain why no sales! We received no email, no phone call nothing. Basically our account was defunct, and we would never of known.

So, we did some research and although Playtrade is still advertised on their website, is no longer active, and been superseeded by Rauken Play.Com Merchants. Quick phone call I felt to get reactivated, but after a minute`s conversation, I laughed so much I thought I was going to spill my tea. The 'Sales Manager' explaining the best deal he could do was just over £300 for 6 months!! That equates to over 50 quid a month, just on membership. This is compared to Amazon, which is £0 for the free model.

I politely explained no thanks, and put the phone down laughing. Shame as play.com used to be my favourite site for DVDs/CDs but unfortunately bottom of the pile now!
