My first experience with buying from Panamoz

I stumbled upon Panamoz quite by accident. I was looking for a low price on a Canon G1X and Panamoz offered an unbelievable price, well under £400, but I thought I would give them a try and placed my order. Ordering was quick, efficient and professional.

Reading through their website I formed the impression that the camera would be dispatched from a UK location but I was wrong as Panamoz was keen to point out when I inquired about delivery. I was a little miffed that their warehouse was in Hong Kong and I thought I would have to wait anywhere between 10 days - 3 weeks for my camera to arrive, if at all.

I wondered who Panamoz where and they seem to be a HK presence in the UK and not really a UK importer. I then research Panamoz and came across a wealth of reports that made me believe I was possibly dealing with a rogue trader and I had lost my money. I requested a delivery schedule from Panamoz which was promptly delivered along with an order receipt. I was quoted less than 5 business days for delivery which is pretty good.

I was given a tracking number with a well know courier which I must have referred to at least a half dozen times a day. Within 24 hours of placing my order the tracking record indicated 'movement': from HK to Germany to the UK. I placed the order on a Thursday and the courier's aircraft arrived at Exeter Airport in the UK the following Sunday morning. The camera was delivered to me early afternoon on Monday, just 5 days in total.

When I opened the box I found everything I had expected, plus a 2-pin-to 3-pin adapter and a set of screen protectors for the camera's LCD. I also received a Sandisk 64GB SD card (ordered), plus an extended warranty card.

So, my first experience of using Panamoz is extremely favourable. Rather than being a rogue trader Panamoz were as good as their word and I received my camera a whole business day earlier than expected. I doubt I would have received as good or better service from a UK supplier.

Any gripes? Just one, I wish it was more obvious where the goods were being dispatched from. If you read the FAQs on their website you will find where Panamoz HQ and warehouse is.
