I purchased a TV with a built in DVD player from Currys for my daughter for Christmas. The TV developed a fault when DVD's were playing the screen would freeze for a few seconds then restart by itself. I took the TV back to the store I purchased it from (only 2 weeks after purchase)to be told that they would not exchange or refund the product until they had proved the TV had a fault. So I left the TV with them for a couple of days & they said that there was no fault! They weren't even testing it with proper DVD - just store advertisement DVD's and couldn't say that they had been watching the TV 100% of the time. I said unless they were watching it all the time they probably wouldn't see the problem as the DVD freezes and restarts itself. And anyway why would I bother taking a TV back to the store if there was not an issue? Frankly I have better things to do with my time! So I emailed their customer service. Again they are worse than useless & also said I would have to prove there was a fault before they would give me a refund. So currently I am left with a faulty TV and a very upset 6 year old daughter. I now have to film the TV's fault on my phone before I can take the TV back for a refund! The customer service is terrible. They might as well call their customers liars. I will NEVER buy from Currys again & I hope this review makes you think twice before buying from this rip-off merchant!
