I searched for a new Samsung Curved 4k TV and surprised to see the BT Shop being significantly cheaper than all other outlets. As a serious online purchaser of enviable credit rating, I was astonished that I had calls from them asking for more security questions than needed to get a passport (driving license, banks statements, community charge ID, etc) - supposedly to check my ID. It took almost four weeks for my order to arrive from BT Shop and when it did, I was disappointed to discover that only one item was dispatched. The other had been cancelled, for no apparent reason, yet no refund was issued. I contacted BT Shop customer service - it took 3 attempts and 55 mins of waiting to get through - and they told me that it was Paypal's responsibility to refund the value of the second item. I purchased the BT 6500 Quad handsets in December 2013. In January 2015 the main set incorporating the answer machine failed and as such I lost the answere facility, all stored numbers and the caller display facility. The phone system operated sometimes! Purchased a HP laptop in their january sales, looked like a good deal as slightly cheaper then the HP website online store price. Order was accepted and dispatched a week later, but arrived with faulty screen. Ordered a BT76700 twin pack for next day delivery: arrived three days later, although they did refund the extra cost when I complained. One of the items was faulty. The normal process entails returning the whole set but having asserted that I needed to use the working phone, was told to purchase a replacement and to send the faulty unit back for a refund. “Stock but no stock”

I ordered a mouse. BT stated they had 14 in stock, so I expected a pretty swift despatch. After 2 days of processing the order, they updated the order to 'awaiting stock from supplier, delivery delayed', I had to check my order to see this, no email was sent to me. “Out of stock - Still taking orders!”

I ordered a BT6500 phone, delivery 1-3 days, after a week it didn't arrive, I called them to find the phones are on back order and won't be in stock for 6 Weeks!! - They claim the delivery of 1-3 days is "After the date of dispatch". I bought a cable for my PC. BT has not specified on the site that it was out of stock, it looked as if there was still 1. I waited for a month for it to be delivered just to discover that they run out of stock and my order was parked there. Not an email, not an update. I ordered a Corsair H100i CPU cooler from BT shop last week. It's a little strange that BT sell computer upgrade parts, i know. But their price for the product was the cheapest online £90.47 (including delivery) and the item was clearly listed as in stock, they stated delivery would take between 1-3 working days.
