The base of our sofa collapsed after a few months. Debenhams said it was just settling in. One end is now unusable and Debenhams are refusing to refund us. Shocking product and shocking customer service. Shame on you Debenhams ! Do not buy furniture from Debenhams.

sounds terrible, write to the CEO office at Debenhams, or failing that the retail ombudsman.
