Terrible Customer Service - Avoid!

Sadly I have to report that my experience in dealing with Argos was one that left vowing me never to have any dealings with the company ever again. Following a very bad instore incident which Argos admitted was result of an error made by one of their staff the treatment I received was without a doubt the worst customer service I have encountered from any major retailer. Email and complaint letters did not receive any response whatsoever and Customer Services over the phone was lengthy, ineffectual and complete waste of time. To date I have still not received an apology or adequate compensation for something that was entirely an Argos mistake. The customer service has been terrible and attitude of the store manage appalling. I understand the Company is struggling and losing customers - I am really not surprised. If its treats its customers so badly ( see all the other poor reviews!) it really does not deserve to survive. Hopefully Sainsbury's will win the takeover and have clean sweep of the staff.
