I ordered two items of ready made furniture on 28th April, due to many delivery dates being made and then cancelled by argos, I finally received them on 13th July. As I opened my front door one of the delivery men carrying the sideboard (by hand - not on a trolley!!!) dropped it right in front of me! Needless to say, despite his assurances, the sideboard was badly damaged, and there was minor (still unacceptable) damage to the TV unit. After another few cancelled deliveries, finally received the goods on 7th September (yes - over four months after ordering!!) I was told to call to arrange a 'goodwill gesture', when I turned original offer down, was called back by a manager, who was the most offensive man I have ever spoken to, who took great pleasure in knocking my 'goodwill' gesture down by £5!!!!!! I would strongly advise anyone to think twice about ordering from Argos, the customer service is shoddy at best and to wait that long while Argos had my payment up front is completely unacceptable!!!
