Bought some Sony headphones and also a bottle holder for my bike. Bought both using Amazon.co.uk. After completing my purchase and seeing the usual safe dispatch times of between 3-30 days that most sellers list and then often dispatch with 2 days I thought nothing of the dispatch times. after 2 weeks contacted both sellers and one was from Canada, the other China. at no stage did either company include in the listing this fact.
I complained to Amazon and got a reply of we will forward this compliant onwards to the relevant department... No reply for over 3 weeks and counting. the only suggestion that the original email from customer service was to refuse the order at the door and it'll be returned to the respective countries!!!!!
As I put in my complaint when using a UK site and not their .com version like eBay they should make it very clear where the seller is based. sometimes it will be included after going to seller info, company info etc but sometimes like on both these occasions nothing is mentioned as to the country of origin.
Amazon need to improve this as foreign sellers are becoming more abundant on the UK site causing me to now contact them and wait for days for a reply.
not great Amazon, it wouldn't take long to add the location of the seller really
