Up until recently I had been receiving a reasonable service from Lovefilm. However since mid-November the service has gone downhill dramatically. I use the DVD option rather the the streaming (picture quality is truly awful) and have noticed it is taking longer and longer for discs to sent out and received.

I therefore sent an e- mail to customer support complaining about the service. In fact several e-mails were sent because the staff either didn't read or couldn't understand my mails and ended up sending generic responses which were unrelated to my issue.

Being so fed up with the appalling service I decided to cancel my subscription. As there is no online option you have to phone them. Again you are confronted with script based response and hard sell to try and keep you with the service. I repeatedly had to tell the rep that I wanted to cancel the service.

However two weeks later and several further e-mails to customer support and I am still receiving discs. My billing date is Jan 1st so it seems to me that they are trying to push past that date to get a further 3 months subscription.

I note that they have already been featured on BBC's Watchdog due to their business practices.

I would suggest that everyone avoids this company
