“Poor customer service”

I purchased an overlocker back in June. The reason I chose to order from Sewing World was due to their promise of next day delivery; however in reality it took the overlocker a month to arrive. I sent several emails, all of which were ignored. I also made several phonecalls. Everytime I spoke to a member of staff they failed to apologise, and one member of staff in particular was very rude. “AVOID”

Goods ordered in May, only half order delivered, various excuses offered, but no goods. Asked for refund in June, never happened. Many phone calls, emails still no refund. Again various excuses. Finally after advice from Citizens Advice on legal approach, refund of £150 arrived last week. I had an awful experience and wished I had now read all the horrific reviews before placing an order! Paid and placed for a sewing machine which said it was on next day delivery. Never turned up!! After over 2 months of constant phone calls to the shop & emails (which were never replied to) to find out where it was. I was fobbed off with lame excuses. “DO NOT ORDER FROM !!!”

Advoid at all costs !! They take your money, don't deliver goods and tell you lie after lie when you query your order and then never give your money back. I ended up claiming from my bank and getting the refund from them. None of my emails have been answered, my phone calls were getting ignored. This company should be closed down. Whatever you do, DO NOT take your beloved sewing machine to Sewing World in Winton, Bournemouth. Nearly 4 months ago I took mine there to get fixed, and it was supposed to take 2 weeks. After 8 weeks of it not being fixed, I went and picked it up and took it to a trusted repairer. I wasn't sure about ordering from the UK to the US, but hadn't had a problem before - previous sales on eBay had gone just fine (the exchange rate is another matter, but not their fault). I placed an order online with Sewing World for a small amount of items, nothing unusual. Waited a couple of weeks, nothing arrived! So my long waste of time began...I had no response to any of my emails, my phone enquiries always had the same excuse and said I would receive my order, but I ever had any follow up. I've had three different stories from three different staff (when you can eventually get hold of them!),as to why, in the first instance, no delivery, and then why no refund! The excuse about "Streamline" not paying them so they can't refund customers is a gem. They even told me to go to my bank, explain what had happened and that my bank would give me cashback.
