Stay well clear.  I bought a refurbished iphone which never arrived and they refused a refund. If it wasn't for the fact that I paid by Pay Pal I would have lost my money. Pay Pal investigated my complaint and found in my favour. I gave them a 1 star because there is no option to give none.

“Do Not Trust”

Universal Gadgets, Edigital Systems call them what you like, I see from the bad reviews its not just me at a loss with the disgraceful way they treat their customers. As Christmas is coming very soon I wanted to warn potential customers that you may end up with a writ against you if you order products on ebay from this seller. I ordered a item had it delivered signed for it and away went my son happy with his second hand product from Universal Gadgets. Some months later I was contacted by Universal Gadgets saying I was in illegal possession of the said phone. They then issued a Small Claims against me ? Quite clearly have no idea how ebay works or how to address their orders or financial payment systems. I urge you to take care when ordering, or better still chose a reputable supplier. Small note I do have my receipt and signed delivery note so hopefully the judge will find in my favour. I will post results in January 2017.

“AVOID AT ALL COSTS”

I purchased an iPhone 5c on eBay for my son for school. The phone was unresponsive and unreliable - the screen didn't allow you to touch it or swipe properly so was basically useless. I contacted the seller and they advised me to carry out a list of instructions to verify it was not software related. I carried these out but they did not work. I returned the phone to them and a over week later the phone came back - with the same problems. I contacted them again and they said reboot the phone etc etc. I did all this and the phone still does not work. Now they are asking me to send it back again for their engineers to look at. What are they going to do this time that they didn't last time? My son needs his phone now for lifts etc and I don't want to be without it for over a week again. It seems that this firm use delaying tactics so you fall outside the ebay protection period. I have told them that I don't want the phone back but a refund or a replacement. I am now left without a working phone with no hope of them replacing it or refunding me. It seems that all iPhones they sell are problematic in some way.

“Avoid at all costs”

I ordered a 'refurbished' iPhone 5. It was faulty on arrival - as so many of their 'phones seem to be - and notified them within days that I wished to have a refund. However, for business reasons I could not be without a 'phone while it was repaired and so ordered a new one. By the time I had received the new 'hone the company's 14 day refund 'guarantee' had expired. So no refund - even though I had told them of the fault within 14 days. On May 23 they confirmed receipt of my phone for repair. It is now 20 June and I have not received it. Do a search on this company and you will see only complaints. Their high eBay rating is a mystery. So are their 'phones refurbished, or recycled rubbish? Google them and decide for yourself. But whatever you do - buy elsewhere!

This company sells phones on eBay that it doesn't actually have in stock. They advertise that your order will be delivered next day, but when you contact them to ask where your delivery is they try to fob you off with "it's next day after we've got one, and processed it, so it maybe in a week?" -not next day delivery then. For refunds, they again give you excuses about contacting couriers that don't exist, managers that spend their entire working day 'at lunch' and so on and so fourth. What ever you do, do not order from them. Reported to trading standards.

These guys are schemers they robbed me i bought a phone from them and it would not work i sent it to them to get fixed it was sent back but they sent it back worse than it was so i then sent it back to them as they told me to and they told me it will take 10 days to fix and i said okay no problem that was few months ago and they still will not reply to my messages i sent to them.

I brought a iphone 4 off these guys and when I turned it on there wasn't any signal yet my other phone showed I had a very good reception I even took it outside but to no avail still no signal and as this was supposed to be a present for my daughter I took it to a EE shop to make sure it was suitable for a EE sim card after only 10 minutes the assistant came back and said they had checked it by taking the back off and they found that most of the components WERE MISSING OUT OF THE PHONE. So I emailed Universal Gadgets and complained and they said to send the phone back to them for repair which would take 3 to 4 days so this I did that was 3 MONTHS AGO and still no phone. So would I recommend them to a friend NO WAY..

“DO NOT BUY FROM UNIVERSALGADGETS”

NEVER buy from them. I bought an iPhone 5 to take to a holiday in Spain, but the phone was UNUSABLE the whole trip. How do you use a phone that restarts every 2-3 minutes? And their customer service is a nightmare! My MULTIPLE emails of complaint have been completely dismissed and after sending it back for repair, and being phone-less for two weeks, I have just received my supposedly 'RECONDITIONED' phone, with completely no difference! The restarting problem is still there! I wish I checked these reviews before purchasing it as I am now left with a useless iPhone 5, and £200 wasted!!! Seriously contemplating taking legal action against them, I do not know how companies like this are allowed to run!

“Very bad service”

I bought a iphone from these which arrived faulty, it has been returned 3 times for a so called repair and sent back to me in the same condition. They now refuse to acknowledge the fault and refuse to refund or replace the phone which is now stuck in a drawer as the battery runs dry in a couple of hrs with little or no use. They have ignored my requests to speak to a manager and to forward the customer complaint details, in fact they ignore most questions put to them. I paid over £300 pound for this phone a month before Christmas as a surprise present for a family member so it wasn't used untill just over a month after purchase so they refused a refund because even though it was faulty when we first attempted to use it, it was apparently to late to do anything about it apart from repair which was a total waste of time 3 times! I have now forwarded my complaint to trading standards via consumers customer rights so I hope this will be sorted soon. So my advice is to stay well away from purchasing from this company.

There standard excuse is to try and get the customer to accept the 15 day wait before item is deemed lost by Royal Mail. The consumer law states is they paid the postage that's there problem and should not effect or delay your request for a refund and beware after 14days you lose the right to cancel. There negative feedback on ebay for feb 15 indicates they tried to use this excuse on 20 plus customers

“Not my phone!”

Bought an unlocked i-phone as a present with a 12 month warranty - turned out to be locked. Sent it back to them to be told it was not the phone they had sent me, has a different IMEI number. If you do buy beware - they don't put the IMEI number on any paperwork of the item they are sending you so you don't know what it is meant to be! This then invalidates any warranty!!!!

Returned my phone as it didn't work properly and never got it or my money back...!! I have plenty of emails from confirming they had my phone. But by the time I realized I had a problem I was outside the 45 days Paypal and Ebay time limit....beware...I feel they purposely delayed things to get beyond the 45 days. If you have any problems contact Paypal STRAIGHT AWAY. £212.00 down the drain!!

Do not be fooled by the warranty, it is worthless. You will not receive your money back unless exercising the e-bay 14-day money back period they are bound by when selling via the site. I purchased and had to return the first phone immediately for a refund. I stupidly repurchased a second phone which became faulty in less 2 months. The wi-fi stopped working and they claimed that the warranty did not cover this. Apparent value for money is based upon the price and the period of time the product was used before developing the fault. I took the phone to Apple for an opinion and they were could tell the telephone had been opened.

I met this company on Ebay and wanted to buy the new HTC ONE M8 from them. They were very quick in taking my money but never send my handset out to me. I tried contacting them by email, at first they would tell me that I would receive the item soon, but I never did. Then I would send more emails but they would ignore me, so I opened up a dispute case against them with Paypal. UniversalGadgets send me an email (yes, only when paypal contacted them would they reply to my email lol) asking me to close the dispute case or else they wouldn't send my phone, the cheek! I have never come across a more unprofessional and dishonest seller than them, please stay away and never buy anything from them. They have made my Ebay experience a nightmare!

“Awful Company”

I bought a phone from here with 12 months warranty after a few months the wi fi broke and I sent it back for repair . It returned within a few days fully repaired . A few weeks later the wi fi broke and I sent it back again only to be told that wi fi was only covered for 60 days although it was never mentiond when I returned it the previous time or when I bought the phone at any time . After many emails back and 2 and phone calls I was told it was coming back repaired, to my disbelief it was still broken and they are refusing ro fix the phone. My only course of action is small claims court which I will be doing in the next few days. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE .

“NEVER EVER AGAIN”

Bought an i phone 4s for my girlfriend arrived fine on time but couldnt set it up for a new user as it had already had 3 i cloud accounts registered to it spent over an hour on the phone to apple to get it sorted and set up in a new account . after being told by them that to try another cable to connect to computer .i have it sorted now but with alot of hassle sick of getting dodgy gear on e bay several things now not as they seem on website . jewelry etc so thats me finished with e bay and all their dodgy dellboy dealers

Under 4 weeks old,totally failed(as they all do)contacted for remedy or refund,EVENTUALLY was emailed the biggest load of garbage for me to amend/update rectify the problem myself,as my item was"OUT OF ITS 14 DAY WARRANTY"!!!!What kind of company gives you a 2 week warranty on electrical items??I urge buyers to beware and better still to AVOID.

BUYER BEWARE check there eBay feedback, they sell faulty phones, tablets, accessories and refuse to refund or respond, £90 out of pocket and had to get eBay involved who would not help. i am now in the process of the £90 being refunded from a better source than eBay (useless) this company should NOT be trading, there negative feedback speaks for itself, they also bribe you change feedback which is a policy breech, everyone report them. kids christmas day was RUINED because of these shoddy faulty tablets - AVOID

“FAULTY PRODUCT”

I purchased unlocked sim free iph 4s 16GB Wifi for Christmas gift. Stupidly did not check it before presenting it to 13 year old excited recipient. Wifi and blue tooth would not turn on, volume increased without any assistance whatsover, battery would not hold charge and USB lead and headphones turned black then purple in colour when used. Returned the item and asked for replacement. Seller very reluctant to respond to emails but eventually said he had replaced it. Received eBay communication to say replacement available from collection point. Collection point had nothing for me to collect, eBay advised they had not sent email. Have had to ask eBay to resolve and obtain refund. I would not use this seller again, ever.
