My laptop wouldn't update windows when it arrived - the status bar hung at 0% for ever. Did as the website said and rang asus technical support who confirmed a software issue (a vendor image issue) and told me to return to the vendor. Simply asus agreed and off it went. A few days later an email arrived saying it had been inspected and there was no fault and that it was to be expected that it would take at least an hour for any progress to register on the status bar when doing an update! I now had to pay £45 engineer fee and £20 carriage to get it back. Eventually they agreed that as I had merely done what they had told me the £45 would be waived but I still had to pay carriage to get the laptop back. Cannot recommend. They should have advised re the windows update issue if that was what it really was. Cheapest isn't necessarily best and this is a case in point.
