I have to say that I am familiar with this company and have tried them on several occasions for PC parts and consumables - their services have proven to be terrible on a number of these purchases.

The problem lies with their shady policy of selling you a product, even giving you an expedited delivery date, but then sending you an email just hours before delivery to say they are out of stock and have to wait up to a month for them to re-order. If you choose to cancel then they slready have your money and can take up to a week to return it. This practice I though was isolated however its just occurred again for the 4th time in just 7 orders, there is no way I'll be ordering from this company showing such immoral practices.

Having purchased from them a number of times AND visited their sales counter at the warehouse by the Reebok stadium I can only say you must have been very unlucky. Compared to a number of other companies I've used, I've never had an issue in over 10 years of buying parts from Scan (where I bought the parts for building my first computer in 2001/2. I've only once found something out of stock and other items out of stock are listed as such on the website. Like any company, the stock on the website may not be 100% live but I've not had the issues you describe. When I've had an issue with a delivered or collected part, they've dealt with it the way I'd expect. The only thing I wish they'd do is sell more pre-built laptops but that's just because they don't offer touchscreen custom-built at the moment.

This has happened to me too on more then one occasion. I will be avoiding SCAN computers from now on and sticking with Dabs. I also found my £180 order was £15 cheaper at dabs and they had it in stock - the definition of in stock where they have it in a warehouse ready to dispatch, rather then the SCAN computers definition where they don't actually have it in reality but take your money anyway creating additional delays for you.
