I bought a computer and monitor from Palicomp as i saw computers getting tested and reviewd by magazines who had sourced the computers from Palicomp. Which was the the deciding review for me... If the computer magazines are sourcing from there then so should i. So i made the decision to go with the internet insted of my currys/pcworld.
The computer and monitor arrived in great condition with all the bits and bobs you would expect. I had to phone the helpline when it arrived though as it wouldnt boot up.. the aftersales guy had me check the connections and the connection to the hard drive had come loose in the shipping.. all sorted.
Ive had to phone up the aftersales helpline up since though. I was having a problem where the computer was shutting itself down on a self protection trip.. At this i was worried that i had no shop to walk into, and since athtough im technicaly minded im no computer guy... Within a minute of chatting to the guy from aftersales he had shipped a new power supply unit to me, and said he would talk me through fitting it, although i managed ok.
After fitting the new power supply unit, which was a first time for me delving into the innerds of a computer, the same problem occured again, i was devistated.. My new gaming machine id spent so much on was a ringer.. So i called aftersales again..
The guy who i spoke to said he had took my first call about this issue, and since then they had bench tested to recreate my bios psu instability problem. He talked me through over the phone on fixing the problem as it could be done through the bios settings. Since then ive had no issiues at all.. I dont think i would have had this help from any other store. Is why im giving palicom 5 stars for custemer service. He also noticed during my call that things were running warmer than they should be so he's shipping me another fan to put in the computer.. I am nervous about fitting this when it arrives, as im already thinking about which wire from the psu should fit into it, or should it get power from else where.. However i know if its not straight forward i won't feel like an idiot phoning for help.
