Was looking for a specific motherboard in micro ATX form. They stated they had one in stock so went ahead and ordered. 1st red flag was they didn't take any money until the sale went through so this got me worried that something could go wrong. Googled reviews of PCUpgrade and many said that they did not have stock / a lot of let down transactions etc. They did mention they got a call, who explained this and tried to go the extra mile for them. I did not read if they were successful with what thier purchases as I was starting to worry about my own. Expecting a call the next morning. Got a call the next morning.... "the supplier have sent us the wrong board...." I argues that they had it in stock so what's the problem. They obviously did not have it in stock. He said he would try to find another and get back to me at some point by the end of the day but because I had paid extra for next day delvivery, I was already dissapointed and unhopeful as well as not recieving the service I paid for. I said I would accept most chipsets at this point as long as it would support my CPU and be of micro ATX form factor... "We have no boards except full form" Your website didn't say that!! The whole thing was a bust and I feel let down they they did not have the item in stock when it stated very clearly that they did. Ultimately I did not get my item. Customer service was good, website looked a bit dodgy and clearly was from a quoted stock point of view.

I ordered a motherboard, got a call saying it was out of stock, but they could send me a better board at trade price - when I got the board, I had been billed £40 more than I thought I was paying. Was supposed to be a new board, but I'm pretty sure it was used - it arrived not in a motherboard box, but flapping around in a large box with little or no padding. There was a note inside saying they "take pictures " of all motherboards before sending them (made me suspicious straight away) and surprise - it didn't work - it wouldn't recognise ANY sata devices. Spent all weektrying to get it to work - contacted pcupgrade who were supposed to be sending a replacement to try (never arrived) , contacted Asus support (complete waste of time) . In the end I sent it back and just got a phone call - they won't refund my money because they are saying I didn't comply with their returns proceedure, and by the way, I bent the pins in the processor socket. Absolute rubbish, of course - it never worked from the moment I received it, and if any pins were bent, it obviously happened on route, due to rubbish packaging. Avoid these people. Amusingly, when writing this, it refused to let me post due to "prohibited words" - and no , nothing blue...

Company sent a Faulty board, instead of replacement they recreated a new order and recharged my card even after I emailed them with Explicit instructions NOT to remove any funds from my account.. around £300 has been removed for a board worth less than £70 they stored my card information and acted unlawfully.. My best advise is to head elsewhere.

STAY AWAY from that bunch. Paid for PC part witch was on stock. Wait few days, no any contact from hem. After I called them they trying to charge me more, saying that it is out of stock and new stock will be more expensive. Don`t waste you time and money, and use someone else decent service.

As is common with most of the other 1 star reviews here I ordered an overpriced item that I really needed (motherboard) and then had a call the next day saying there was a mistake in the listing. Surprise surprise they didn't have the item but offered an alternative (inferior) item. I reluctantly agreed although they were friendly enough but something didn't seem right. After I'd agreed to the alternative I saw lots of other reviews and comments from people in the same situation who were offered an alternative due to a 'mix up' in the listing. Some of them complained about receiving low quality alternatives or even non working items. So before the item arrived and they had a chance to blame me I cancelled the order (receiving some sniffy emails telling me I'd have to pay a return fee) and told the courier to send it straight back. Upshot is I ended up paying £30 for pointless shipping but got most of my money back. They're obviously just out to get rid of low quality end-of-life stock by advertising things they obviously don't have and then offering 'alternatives'. They're still listing the item I initially wanted and looking back through old reviews here they're even still offering stuff that wasn't available months ago. I'd never use pcupgrade.co.uk ever again and would advise anyone hoping to get something they actually were hoping to get to avoid them like the plague.

Having placed an order for a new motherboard, I was contacted four days later to be told that the item wasn't available; despite being sold on their website. As I was pushed for time, I told them I couldn't wait for new stock to arrive, so placed an order for an alternative early in the morning - as according to their website "most Orders received and released before 3.30pm Monday through Friday will be shipped out same day" - and took advantage of their next day delivery service. Five days later and without a delivery, I contacted sales support to enquire as to the items whereabouts. Having waited for three days without reply, I was forced to cancel the order and find a supplier who actually wants my business. All-round poor organisation, communication and customer service.

After shopping around for a discontinued motherboard to fit some spare bits and bobs a good friend of mine was donating to me, I struck across this website. Lo and behold, they have compatible motherboards! After checking the website over (looks a little dated) I went ahead with my order. Next day, after work, my housemate who was at home for the day tells me that a staff member from "PCUpgrade.co.uk" tried to contact me. It's past opening hours for now, so I ring the next morning. My Motherboard is out-of-stock and is discontinued. Thankfully, before my nerves start ticking over, the staff member who answered my call told me that they had very similar motherboards in, which were in stock, had almost exactly the same layout (minus one or two compromises) and was £40 cheaper. Sweet! And ended up using the £40 difference to update my order to include a small SSD to install my OS for faster booting. Good work, team! One Happy Customer! Next day delivery (that arrived in the evening after my return from work) and one undamaged, fully serviceable Motherboard and SSD now sat on my desk waiting for install. TL:DR Ring before ordering (as their website doesn't reflect what they ACTUALLY have in stock all the time).

Firstly I need to say that Stu at PCupgrade is great, I had an issue with a power supply that Coolermaster kept kicking the ball around to replace while it was under warranty. Stu took care of everything and wrestled with their supplier to get it replaced. When I first ordered the power supply they didn't have the exact one I had ordered, no big deal, they called me and offered me a different one for the same price, same power and had it out to me very quickly. This was over the Christmas period as well. I think maybe they only took 2 days off and they were right back to work getting orders out. If you need parts, buy from them, you'd be hard pressed to find better help elsewhere.

I thought I was lucky as I’d found a piece of hardware that I had been struggling to find, placed an order with this company on the 13th for a part that was showing as in stock on their website. The order went straight into pending so they didn’t actually take any money off me right away. After not hearing anything for a few days I sent them an e-mail on the 17th I got no reply to this so on the 18th I called them. Spoke to nice guy, he states that they we’re unable to get the part that I had ordered however could offer some alternatives. Sadly the alternatives we’re either an older model of what I wanted, or a completely different make and spec. He did claim an email was sent to me and a reply to my email however I never got these. An near enough straight away my order was canceled. In conclusion, the whole experience was a waste of time and a disappointment. Sadly I really can’t recommend this company.

Finding one of these has proved very difficult (Rocking Horse poo and Hens teeth comes to mind!). After ordering the wrong thing (I didn't want a Bluetooth one!) I got through to Stu, who, very kindly listened to my imbecilic ramblings for ten minutes, sourced one to my requirements from somewhere in the deepest pasts of Europe(Holland). Two days later it arrived and was etching discs left, right and centre. Top-tastic service all round!!!! Thank You.

I ordered a soundcard on June 10 with next day delivery, after two weeks I sent them an email asking why I still didn't receive my order and then they just replied me that they couldn't send me and had to check my junk box (there was nothing in there btw..) and instantly after that I received a message from Paypal telling me that I was refunded... First time I order on this website and I am really dissapointed... I guess if I didn't ask them about my order, they would just never refund me. I don't recommend this website at all !

As with a few reviews on this company, they did not have the advertised product (a graphics card) available even although I was able to order it and it looked as if it was in stock. I was offered an unsuitable replacement, which I would have to wait for. I declined and cancelled my order, which to their credit they did straight away. However, I had to ring again to ask for a order cancellation e-mail confirmation. I don't understand these companies that advertise products they do not sell?!?

I am completely taken aback at the excellent and personal service given by PCUpgrade given by telephone and email. This is a rare situation with customer support these days I feel. All the detailed advice was relevant and eventually a solution was found so I am very pleased. I would certainly recommend PCUpgrade.

Customer not based in the UK. Email was despatched to alert him that the shipping selected was for UK only and to reorder using European shipping option.

I received your email only after I sent an email asking why I never received my order.. also I don't really understand why I could choos the "nextday deliver method" if it wasn't allowed... it was only said on your website that shippings from outside of UK might take longer than one day (this is why I waited TWO WEEKS). .
If your next day delivery can't be chosen for outsiders of the UK, then you should maybe ask your webmaster to not let people be able to select this shipping formula depending on their country, to avoid this kind of missunderstanding again.
