Optimus V 17.3" Review

Processing and delivery time: I was unhappy with the amount of time I had to wait for my laptop which ended up being four weeks exactly. When considering the website stated it would take 7-9 working days this was really not good at all. Customer services kept telling me various things regarding remainding wait time along the way. Eventually I did receive my computer in a well packaged box with all it's essential gubbins.

The Laptop: So far very good. I was initally a worried about the fan noise: it isn't the quietest especially when at full speed but luckily it has rarely got up to that speed. Infact so far the fan only comes on here and there meaning that overall noise level is low/acceptible. This is very important for me as I will be using the computer to record and mix audio/music. A noisy fan can be very distracting and can potentially prove detrimental to recordings.

In terms of performance I cannot fault this laptop. It is very fast and runs very smoothly. The screen is lovely and big and more graphics intensive applications look great.

Chassis design is smart, I'd go as far as to say it's pleasing to the eye if just a little basic. It's inoffensive and not garish at all. A backlit keyboard would be the only real improvement.

In conclusion the quality of the product has made up for the frustrating wait to receive it. It is also good value for money compared to others on the market with similar specs. I would use PC Specialist again.
