I made my first purchase from the HP UK store recently- ordering and delivery were fine, but when I had tried unsuccessfully to register the product a few days later ,which can only be done online,( I tried for 3 days without success, as each time a message appeared saying that registration was "currently unavailable, and to try later") so I telephoned Customer Services. What a nightmare that was!I was first passed from pillar to post before I actually found someone to speak to!
One girl made out she couldn't understand what I was saying - I'm English and I actually teach English!!
She finally seemed to understand when I said that the online registration link wasn't working, and when I asked her how I was supposed to register the product, she said it was a "complicated question!!!"
She took my name and number and said she would phone back ( shortly, I stupidly assumed) . After waiting for an hour, I emailed HP and got a reply requesting that I phone them again and they would help me to use the site!!! I emailed back telling them that I wasn't stupid,I was well aware how to use it, and if the registration link was faulty, it was their responsibilty to rectify it.
I finally registered it by speaking to a guy in tech support who was actually helpful.
HP can't do enough when you are making a purchase, but once the end result has been accomplished, most of the staff just don't want to know. I dread to think what treatment I can expect if develops a fault!
