I ordered an item for express delivery at an additional cost of €10 to receive the item within 24-48 hours. Based on this timeframe I had expected my item to be delivered by Friday midday, at the latest.
I checked the status of my delivery with the courier, UPS early Friday morning, only to find that the courier's website noted my delivery would not be made until Monday.
Needless to say I was furious as I had paid the extra postage cost to receive the item prior to the weekend (for an event). Based on this information, I did not stay at home to receive the delivery. But guess what? It ended up coming that afternoon!
Zara have consistently been dismissive of my complaint regarding their courier service. Nor do I believe it is reasonable to charge for a service that is inefficient. As a customer, we should be able to trust the tracking information as real time! Zara may argue it is not their issue, but UPS. But the reality is the courier service is part of the online purchasing experience and overall cost.
So please be aware if you are purchasing on line and express, you may be wasting your money!
