I thought purchasing a pair of sunglasses online would be easy.....Well not with these people. after much drama I just gave up!
Approx an hour after I placed an order I was sent an email saying I had failed their online payment security check by giving an incorrect billing address and was required now to send to them my credit card account statement to prove who I was. I double checked all my details an ALL WE CORRECT.

Thinking this was very strange a day later I contacted my bank to find out why they had declined my payment for my simple online purchase? My bank (a major internatonal institution) said they approved the payment as soon as the merchant had requested payment and could confirm this with thier own security processing code and time payment was authorised however the payment was to not to Your Designer Sunglasses but a company called Connolly Vision.

I then confirmed with Your Designer Sunglasses that a company called Connolly Vision had infact been paid by my bank for my order. They acknoledged that this was infact them. Ok I thought problem solved....Well no so fast..... Your Designer Sunglasses or Connolly vsion who ever they are still wanted me to send them my Credit Card account statement.....So now I have a company with two different names asking for not only my credit card details but actual account statements to go with it....I then contacted my bank again....

They told me it is not acceptable behavour from anyone or any company especially as they could have contacted their bank to confirm they had recieved payment. There was no reason to ask for my Bank Statements. Infact they told me

IF ASKED EVER AGAIN FOR ANYTHING LIKE THAT TO CONTACT THE BANKS FRAUD DEPARTMENT AND GET THEM TO DEAL WITH WHO EVER IS ASKING FOR IT.

I then just cancelled my order.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY TAKE YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE....there are many other companies happy to do business with you. Infact only a few hours later I found a great place that sold exactly what I was after and even at a better price! It was the simplest of processes.....place order, payment authorised, order dispatched. God only knows what Connolly Vision are doing

We are very sorry you feel upset and have had to leave this bad review, however we have been advised by HSBC merchant services that your credit card only security code matched and did not match your address to where the the credit card was registered. You also failed to pass 3D visa/mastercard security which made the transaction even more suspicious. Rightly so as agreed by HSBC we need to have further evidence to prove that you are indeed who you say you are before despatching goods to otherwise the transaction is fraudulant. We did ask you to blank out any other information other than your name and address and the transaction for the amount you made. If you were not who you say you are, you wouldnt be able to get this information. Secondly it isnt uncommon for businesses to have different company names to what they trade under.

The Facts regarding this review are as follows

CITIBANK Australia who are my card issuer approved this payment for puchase as soon as they received the request from HSBC. They have the appoval code and time to prove it.

They have no payment requests from my card number using an incorrect address.

AGAIN they have said DO NOT SEND BANK STATEMENTS to third parties with information blanked out or not..... THEY WANT anyone who is subject to such a request to contact their FRAUD DEPARTMENT....I WILL NOW ADVISE YOU ARE SAYING HSBC ARE TELLING YOU TO ASK FOR SUCH.

I was able to purchase product cheaper from another merchant that was a pleasure to deal with..Shop around DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THESE VERY VERY UNPROFESSIONAL people...DONT DEAL WITH THEM YOU WILL REGRET IT

If you want to comment on my review at least get your facts straight..if HSBC made a mistake admit it dont try to use the excuse I dont even know my own address.
