I was skeptical at first about ordering from a company based in the UK. I thought that the shipping costs would be high and that any returns would create a hassle. But after trips to the local US stores to see what the fashion industry was offering for the fall, I was disgusted by the limited selection but more so by the quality. Who are they trying to kid by making sweaters that are so thin that you can hold them up and see the light through them? Do they think we won't notice their attempt to use less wool to cut costs? And that is assuming they use wool at all! Do they really think rayon is a suitable alternative? At woolovers I was able to find a wide selection of quality products in a variety of colors....and they don't cost an arm and a leg! Their cashmere/merino line is fabulous! Cashmere seems to be the new "wool" in the US and merino is hard to come by. But combine the two to get a soft yet substantial sweater is brilliant! I immediately emailed my friend who live in CA and is always complaining about having to layer due to the ever changing temperatures in CA. Woolovers also has other lines like cotton/silk that are perfect for wearing in layers. I will be ordering more for sure! I still may buy the occasional unusual looking sweater...like a Navajo print long cardigan from a store here. But my basic needs have been met by Woolovers. I now own a selection of quality basic sweaters in a variety of colors allowing me to grab one from my closet throw it on with jeans, dress it up with a scarf or wear under a blazer for work. Super pleased with my discovery of Woolovers!
