I bought two of the same dress in two sizes, to keep one and return the other. Both dresses were miles too big. I contacted to return them. They won't accept a return, they have asked what is wrong with the dresses.... My reply nothing simply too big. I have mailed photos, but still no joy. They have taken extra money out of my account, nearly £12 more than my receipt states. I have now contacted my credit card provider, who are investigating them. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

I ordered a couple of dresses from www.urdress.co.uk, with a view of returning one of the dresses based upon best fit and complimenting my figure. Again like others I believed that the website and company were UK based. I wish I had undertaken a more comphrehensive review.. I am now stuck with a dress that does not fit, the company is offering me no return details and keep offering me 10 or 20% refund of the dress as compensation. I am gutted as I paided £250 for the two dresses and I am so out of pocket and have two dresses the same colour and one that does not fit me at all with no scope for any adjustments by a local tailor - as they advised - not that I want or need two dresses. I would NOT recommend this company to anyone. On a positive note, the dresses are really lovely, but like I said don't require two dresses of the same colour and style...

I can't believe what I have run into with this website... I thought it was uk based and then I ordered then I read the reviews then I panicked then I received a bunch of rubbish and now I'm like :( Anyone reading this should get how gutted I feel right now for spending £103 and getting a load of rubbish Avoid this and do not buy

I too did not read the reviews as I thought this was a UK web site but it turns up that it is based in China. We ordered a prom dress that when it eventually arrived looked nothing like the picture. The dress was poorly made with shabby finishes they was 2 sizes to big. I wouldn't even give it the dog to sleep on. They took nearly £10 more out of the bank than authorised which my bank is very interested in and I have also reported them to trading standards as they use pictures from other web sites and try to copy them so you will never get the dress you order. Citizens advice say I have no chance of them getting my money back as their oversea rules do not apply to us. So all in all an awful experience from a dodgy company.

Dresses come from China and NOT from the UK. Yes, if you research their web site you can see that in one of the hidden layers of information. If you have a dispute, the only way to contact the retailer is via their web site and they will not answer you. I ordered 2 dresses totally more than £170 and have lost my money. The dresses are of poor craftsmanship...uneven bodice, disproportionate details, bulging of material...basically looks like a novice slapped something together. On top of that I had to pay duty fees of an extra £20 on "goods" they claim are $28 "samples" on airway bill! Shame on undress.co.uk! Wish we could petition to shut down web sites as these.

I ordered a dress for a formal ceilidh. As the standard dress sizes don't fit me properly, I paid £25 extra to get the dress custom made. The dress came on time for the event, but it was nothing like the dress in the picture on the website. It had different sleeves and completely different detailing. Also, the dress was too long AND too wide! I emailed the customer service team to inform them that I wanted to return the dress for a full refund. The reply I got was disrespectful. They told me that I should consider the hard work their employees had put in making the dress and offered to pay me £15 if I kept the dress. Naturally, I refused their offer and asked for them to send me the returns information. Again they asked me to consider their employees who needed their wages and offered me £45. Naturally, I got angry at this point and sent them another email complaining about their customer service and asking for the returns information. It has been a week, and no reply yet. DO NOT waste your money on this site! They advertise good quality dresses for lower price, but what you will get for your money is everything but.

I bought my prom dress from this site and I love it, I seen these reviews and started panicking because of how bad the reviews were! My dress is great and it arrived in plenty time for my prom. I got mine custom made and fits great and has a built in bra, a lot of the reviews say 'oh im a standard size 10 and mine never fit' well you should of looked at the size guide which will clearly tell you if it will match your size or not, because the measurements do not match the standard uk sizes. Just leaving a review so people don't have to go through the same panic as I did because of some of these reviews.

This is the most disappointing thing that has happened to my daughter who brought a dress for her leavers dinner. You are ridiculous

Here is a copy of an email I have just sent to this 'company' I suggest everyone complains about them to the Office Of Fair Trading and Their local Ombudsman to stop them ripping off more people. This email was sent in response to one I had from them disputing the delivery address. I responded with, concerned that their website was no longer available. They responded that it was being "upgraded". This was my final response: Dear 'Undress' I am sorry but I do not believe you. If your website was being upgraded you would still be able to find the url. Your domain name is not available to be found on any search engine. I do not believe you have made or sent the item at all, I have provided you with a delivery address no less than three times already. I look forward to having my money refunded and will be leaving a very negative review of your business on-line. I have copied the Queensland Ombudsmen and also the Office Of Fair Trading so that they can issue an alert about your business practices. Dress I purchased was NOT as per the visual on the website - and an appauling fit even though I am a standard size 10. No response whatsover from the customer service team despite of their commitment to respond to emails within 1-3 hours. Shoddy outfit - do not buy from them.

Finally got my dress after weeks, and it arrived 10% finished with loads of detail missing, material pieces hanging off, completely false advertising. Ordered a button up back and they decided to do a zip up with the buttons at the side of it. I have sent numerous messages to the customer service email and I still have had no response. Overall, I personally think my dog could make a better dress out of a carpet.

Dress was received basically not finished - it looked nothing like it should have. The stitching was falling apart leaving gaps, and the draping panel in the front was not completed - and you could put your hand between the front panel and the other piece of the dress as it was not even sewn to each other (which it should have been otherwise you would see it every time you moved). The fabric was not cut straight or even hemmed. The panel was very obviously stitched through the middle, though it was not even attached down the sides to the front of the dress. Loose threads were everywhere and the zip was useless. The dress was unwearable.

I have not received my dress at all. I have sent several e- mails and not had any reply. stay away from them. I see from my credit card bill that the money has gone to china, they are not a UK company like they want us to believe.

I ordered my dress 3 weeks ago now at a total cost of $240 AUD (approx.) This amount included the custom made charge and quick shipping. After many emails to this mob, they keep trying to tell me that the dress was delivered to me. When I checked the tracking number on Aust Post, it showed as being delivered to NSW not WA!. They are now saying it is not their fault!! WTF....I have just sent them a screen shot of Aust Post tracking confirmation to show them. They are telling me that it has been signed for. I have asked who signed for it as I do not have the dress. So far no answer. I ordered this dress for a special occasion on 17/8/13. Looks like I may well be looking for another dress but not before I lodge a dispute claim with my bank. Interestingly enough, one email asked me when I expected my dress - even though a tracking number had been provided. My reply was - Is the dress made or not. They assured me that is has been made. However, on at least 6 occasions now I have emailed them to explain the tracking number is either wrong or they have shipped my dress to the wrong place. Totally unacceptable !! Stay right away from these people. They may be cheap, but in the long run, it will cost you more, to finally get another dress because the one you ordered hasn't arrived, and of course the disappointment. Just to add insult to injury, I cant even find the picture of the dress on their website. I originally found it on newyorkdresses.com

After reading all these reviews I realise I am not the only victim!! I ordered my dress made to measure, however to my dismay it was far too large and beyond repair. I tried to get in contact with this company (which is not based in the uk as stated in their website) to obtain a return form, with no avail! They 'begged' me to be sympathetic about the materials, labour work and wages they had to give; it was truly pathetic. They wanted to compensate 10% of the price I paid; when considering the price I paid and the policy on their website, this was just unacceptable. I then approached my bank with this issue and they managed to 'charge back'; I was very lucky to get my money back but this doesn't happen often so this website is NOT recommended. I also reported this website to trading standards for future consumer protection. Hopefully this website will go down soon and justice will prevail.

I dont know how I can get my refund, this website is rubbish I dont recommend anyone to buy on this website.

They lie on the website, no contact number, I still haven't recieved my daughters prom dress after waiting ages, no tracking number was given, they mislead you by making you think they are uk based. I now have to buy my daughter another prom dress. They have now changed their email address so I have no hope of any contact so I'm going through the bank to get my refund. Please do not use this website as I was too late and read all the poor reviews after purchasing the dress
