“Poor Returns Policy”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Reese403 on 15/01/2017

I ordered a coat online as they didn't have the sizes i wanted in store. I never thought to check their returns policy - i just assumed that the returns policy would be just the same as any large store. In fact it's appalling - you can only return to store and get a refund on a gifts card or you can return at your own cost to their Birmingham address.

I for one won;t be shopping here again.

I totally agree.Love the clothes but many I like are only on line so you can't always be sure that size or colour will be okay.So now I g
have three separate gift cards one with 40p one with £15 and one with £20.Why can't they just be added on to same card which makes it easier to reorder.Such pity when Roman have such a good product and yet this is their downfall.Surely this could be remedied easily.

Disgusted at their service. We're boycotting Roman Originals for future purchases after experiencing a similar problem. Not having the sizes in store to try on before buying so have to order online, order two sizes for best fit now leaves multiple items to be returned at our own cost for post office return or refund on a gift card in store return that is only valid for 1 year so now have around £300 worth of returns that isn't clearly stated when placing the order, I have now read the t's and c that is on a different link that is pages long before it's seen.
Come on ladies should we really have to be tricked this way to look good!
If we all make a stand they'll have to change their ways to go inline with all the other High Street and online shops to be able to survive the retail world.
LETS STAND TOGETHER TO IMPROVE OUR SHOPPING EXPERIENCE!
NOT TO IMPROVE THEIR PROFIT MARGINS BY ROBBING US BLIND!

Thoroughly agree with all that been said. Went into a store today and said that I would like to buy two items, try them at home and return the one that was not needed. I was told that if I did that I would not be refunded for the one that I returned, I would only receive a gift card. They lost a sale from me, surely better for them to make a sale and have happy customers!!! They are in their rights to do it this way, but they need to think about customer service and therefore keep us happy. John Lewis can do it....always happy to refund, and so they keep their customers. Come on Romans....THINK !!!!
