Joined Next online and set up an account. Order a few things - fine, they arrived, but when U returned them via courier and in store, that is when the problems began. The items were either still listed as being in my possession when I had the receipt to prove otherwise, or items I had in my possession were listed as still being with the courier.
Before I realised what a farce this company was I had recommended that my mother set up a Next account. she did so and the same thing happened to her. She ordered 7 items, they arrived and she returned 7 items back to the store. Next listed 7 items on her returns receipt and then proceeded to pursue for payment for items she no longer had. Calls to Next were met with transfers to overseas call centres before she was told she'd have to write in with proof she had returned seven items and not six including the receipt. The error was made my the store when the shop assistance returned one of the seven items twice, and did not scan through another item.
We were both new customers and as a consequence, my mother has closed her account and I intend to pay off my balance and do the same.
Next's response to all of this has been one phone call to say "this never usually happens" - when quite evidently it does! The a second customer satisfaction call to wanting me to tell them how great they believe themselves to be.
Forget opening a next directory account with these people. You will save yourself time and unnecessary stress.
Bizarrely enough, they still believe that most customers think they are brilliant, but they evidently have not read their online reviews!
