Excellent figure protection

I ordered the figure trays designed for the Space Hulk game (mine is the 2009 'Third Edition' set)and the Deathwatch Overkill box set.

The trays are well made and fit perfectly into the original game boxes. I have yet to populate the Deathwatch Overkill set, but I can confirm that the the Space Hulk set accommodates all of the pieces in the 2009 set. The plastic miniatures, timer and dice occupy a foam tray with each one in its own cut-out and all the card pieces fit in a specially cut card insert underneath. The foam tray is stiff enough to be lifted out of the box without collapsing. The miniatures fit a little loosely in the cut-outs so they will move slightly. I doubt this tiny movement is enough to damage the paint on the miniatures and I prefer a loose fit to jamming the model into a cut-out which is too tight.

A sheet is supplied which shows which model goes where and how all the tiles fit underneath - really useful!

With the foam topper in place and the rulebooks on top the box won't quite shut. The lid sits about 6-8mm high. I can live with that.

Overall this is a great tray, well designed and executed. A massive improvement over chucking all the bits in the box. I might actually paint my miniatures now!
