Hi Girls,

Just a quick note to say - please DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY as it is a complete SCAM!!!!!

I ordered my dress early April, which should've arrived for the 1st/2nd week of May. Up until this point the online 'Live Chat' facility had been great and I felt confident by their prompt replies and also the website gave me no reason not to trust their them - but basically as time went on and my dress became more overdue I chased my order everyday (several times!) and just got spun a different story each time. At this point I started to look at the online feedback and the penny dropped that it was unlikely I'd get my dress at all.

I knew the dress was coming from overseas (Far East) but when I looked into their London office address which they claim is their 'warehouse/returns' on Minerva Rd and I managed to find other companies registered on this road so I randomly called one of them, only to find that this address is basically multiple serviced type offices. The minute I said 'Hi, I'm looking for a company called Dresses Online Sale..' the woman said 'Sorry but its a complete scam'!!!! She explained that there is definitely no company of that name registered in the building and that they get calls every day from frustrated customers chasing their orders. They are using this address without legal consent and they have already been reported to Trading Standards.

So after I found this out, besides feeling a total fool at being scammed (i am usually super savvy!) I immediately tried to 'Live Chat' the company again but I stupidly put the subject as 'Scam' and they failed ever to respond to me again as they knew I had at this point figured them out! Despite the fact that I'd only been chatting to them an hour earlier without a problem connecting!

So I emailed them directly via a name who had sent me a 'discount voucher' when I first ever enquired to order a dress. I basically sent a polite but firm email to say that I had done some investigation work and asked for them to comment further, but again nobody ever replied (whereas this lady had always replied at the beginning when I asked questions about ordering in the first place). So obviously I knew they were completely avoiding me.

So as I'd paid via Pay-Pal and was still within their 40-45 days refund policy I explained the situation and they put in a dispute to the seller to request a refund within 10 days. Basically after 48 hours Dresses Online Sale had replied to say 'Sorry they were experiencing material/supply problems due to the high volume of orders and that they would refund me accordingly, unless I wanted to wait another 10 days'.

I obviously took the refund as I knew that if I waited another 10 days, it would've pushed me past the Paypal refund policy and I would never have got a refund at all - not that i believed I'd even get the dress after the extra 10 days.

Please be aware that they will try to convince you to hold on just a bit longer for this reason. DO NOT FALL FOR IT!!

Paypal did remind me though, that although their refund policy is only a maximum of 40-45 days, if you've paid by Credit Card then you can still raise a dispute after this time with your own Credit Card provider to claim under the card protection insurance.

With regards posts that have been made by people who have actually received their dresses, I do think these sound a little bit suspicous - but to be fair, I can only speak from my own experience.

So anyway, I hope this has helped. I know it's probably not what you want to hear when like me you'd chosen a dress that you really wanted, but if you're reading this now and you're 'still waiting' then it's time to act quick and get your money back!
