I ordered 4 bridesmaids dresses and 1 mother of the bride dress from this site. The bridesmaids dresses worked out at £75 each for dresses adjusted for height. You would not get dresses of this quality in the shops - let alone to fit girls size 6 to 18. Also you could not choose from such a range of colours. For the mother of the bride dress I tried on a dress and bolero for £500 but it was too small over the bust. For £150 I had a similar dress custom fitted from this site - but its even better. There is a risk because you need to measure carefully and you can't send them back if you don't like them. But having looked and looked in the shops I felt it was worth taking a chance and I am glad that I did. Do take all the measurements because even though there is only space on site for the basic ones they do come back and ask for the others. Missing star is that some of the chat and email is difficult to follow.

I was really worried after reading lots of negative reviews after I ordered from diydress. My daughters dress arrived today and it's beautifully made, fits her perfectly and looks absolutely gorgeous on her. Live chat were really helpful all through the process despite the lady always having the same name. I ordered the dress for delivery before the 30th may and it's arrived on the 26th. Packaging wasn't the best but the dress is so amazing we didn't care.

I bought a wedding dress from this website and boy was it a big mistake! I have used one of the photos taken of the dress as my profile picture. They use pictures taken from the internet and are NOT genuine pictures of the dresses they have made. So what you receive in return is a knock-off of the real thing which is very, very poorly made - I am not exagerating. They claim it is 'custom made' and even ask you for your measurements. I doubt they even looked at it because the dress is completely ill-fitting in ALL areas. Forgot not wearing a bra under this dress! If I did, I would be flashing the guests! They are using a UK domain so that you, the buyer, believe that they are based in the UK. NO THEY ARE NOT. They are a knock off shop in Hong Kong. This means that you cannot pursue them in the Courts to get your money back. They have a refunds and returns policy on their website. This all look legitimate until you try and return the dress. The policies are completely useless and they DO NOT OFFER REFUNDS UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. I provided many pictures and the detailed description they asked for, and they would not accept it. When I asked (several times) for a refund, they said that the issues were 'minor' and that nothing was wrong. They offered me £20 to go towards the cost of altering. £20!! I live in London. It was cost twice as much to have it drycleaned! The dresses on their website do not include a description so you are only judging it from the images - which are stollen from the internet. So you do not know what type of material they are using and the quality of the finish - which I cannot stress enough is EXTREMELY bad. Also, when you recieve the invoice, it is for a $20 coat! For those of you do not believe what you have just read, I have many photophraphs of this dress (which I am willing to share and probably will on many other websites to warn any unsuspecting person about this knock-off shop) which will prove that I am not exagerating. Thankfully, I am having my wedding dress made by someone else who is a trained professional dress maker. Be warned people, DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE!!

My dress arrived absolutely stunning fits perfect and made so well I am overwhelmed and would recommend diy dresses I cannot wait to wear it on my big day. Thank you so so so much.I love everything about it has a great lining so it's not see through length perfect and the trail makes the dress flow stunning. The finishing detail is great with lots of attention to detail layers are perfect I so excited I could go on forever. I was nervous of ordering on line but have no regrets and would most definitely do it again thank you so much again will send pics after wedding.

I ordered my wedding dress and 7 flower girl dresses, first 3 came and were perfect- exact match to image and correct size. Next 4 came however they loosely resemble the first ones, silver and light blue sequins rather than silver and navy, embroidery is black rather than navy, no beading to be found and embroidery is a rushed and simplistic design -different to the first ones. My wedding dress was perfect and 3 flowergirl dresses were amazing shame other 4 don't match and now have to go buy 7 new ones- after spending almost £450 on the perfect design on this site. My order has proved it's 50 / 50 chance of getting what you have paid for. Currently being ignored by their after sales team after being told that they cannot see anything wrong or different between the 2 sets of dresses. Since looking closer at their website the pics of their sales team have turned out to be photos they clearly found on image search ( found 2 of them to actually be semi-famous people and one comes up on many sites labeled picture of pretty blonde when I have reverse image searched them). Suppose my fault for not properly looking into company before ordering from them, unfortunately I only started looking into them after I had placed 3 orders and put all hope on fact that I order things from China quite often over Ebay and have never had any problems.

I took a chance and ordered my wedding dress from diydress and I wasn't disappointed! Everything was perfect. The guests were amazed at the quality of the dress and shocked when they learned I had ordered it online. However, what stood out most for me about my entire experience with diydress was the amazing customer service I received from everyone I came in to contact with. I was kept up to date, alterations and changes were clearly communicated and queries answered efficiently and politely, they couldn't do enough! I would recommend without a doubt. In fact I'll be ordering more dresses myself!

I am having to seek legal advice due to the company not refunding me. Even though I have photographic evidence of a sales advisor online promising me that if my dress was delivered and did not fit then I would receive a full refund. I have emailed to and from and provided pictures and all the wrong measurements. The dress did not even fit my 8 year old niece it was so small around the arms.The material was not strecthy yet when I had asked if it was before purchase I was assured it was. Basically they told me whatever I wanted to hear to purchase and then have offered me £8 to refund for an £100 dress. I have evidence and still now if you write to an advisor they will assure you that if the dress come and does not fit they will refund. It is illegal what they are doing. The material was ripped and cheap.The built in bra which is just two pads sewn in were above my boobs by 2 inches. The dress bones- were non existant. The dress was of a poor standard and of no measurements to any UK size. They delete all bad reviews on there website aswell. Eventually they just stop responding, so now I have to go to trading standards and write as many reviews as possible to stop people being victim to this. I promise you please do not buy!

I had a military dinner to go to so I ordered the 'Ball Gown Strapless Floor-length Taffeta Lace Up Back Prom Dress' in pearl pink. After I ordered it I found some very negative reviews and I started to worry that my dress would either be the wrong size or it wouldn't be like the photo. However, I needn't have worried. I didn't order a particular size; I gave my height, waist and bust measurements and the dress fitted perfectly. Also, the material was beautiful and the dress looked identical to the one in the photo. I did look around in bridal shops and in UK department stores such as House of Fraser, but nothing compares to the kind of dress you can get from DIY dress. I saw something simliar in a bridal shop and, not only was it more than double the price, the material didn't look very nice. Therefore, I am very happy with my DIY dress and think it is amazing value for money. The customer service was also very good and whenever I had questions I emailed them and they responded within 24 hours. Excellent choice.

Never buy from this company. Paid extra for wedding dress to be delivered on a guaranteed date.. Did not arrive and not even been sent.. Customer service absolute joke, they don't read emails or help.... STAY WELL AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY

I ordered the dress a few weeks ago, and was surprised when it came ahead of when it was supposed to. I had provided all my correct measurements, and so was shocked when the dress was far too small and the measurements were completely wrong. I have since been in contact with the company, who requested pictures of the dress and wrong measurements. After sending this 7 days ago I have emailed every single day and heard nothing. This is absolutely appalling customer services and I will be demanding a full refund. SO disappointed. Would NOT recommend.

I'm based in Dublin Ireland and ordered a dress from DIY dress UK for my daughter’s debs. Total cost of €201. What a totally stressful experience!! Custom made? What a joke!! They pass themselves off as a UK company when in fact they are operating outside of Europe..The dress is Badly made with the bust area up around my daughters neck !! The dress puckered at the waist with far too much material. The spaghetti straps far too thick and way too short. We had to buy another one here for €300.DIY Dress return policy is simple! They don't refund but offer €20 for you to go to a tailor and have it repaired!! Its not even worth €20.We have never dealt with such unprofessionalism. If I could post pictures I would. The stress my daughter and myself have gone through from dealing with DIY dress is second to none. DO NOT BUY FROM DIY DRESS. I ordered two dresses from this site and i was planning on using them for my brides maids dresses for my wedding next year. I ordered a size 10 dress (my normal size) and also got a size 12 dress because it was a tighter fit and i was planning on altering it to be smaller. The size 12 dress ended up being smaller then my size 10 dress by half and inch. I emailed to return the dresses since i had previously inquired on their website, (which states if you are unhappy with the dresses you order you are able to return within 14 days). They declined my return and said that the dresses were custom made( Which i did not do) and they could not accept a return, but if I gave them £120.00 more they would remake it for me. I had to email them back and forth for 3 weeks, measure the dresses and send them pictures to show that they had made a mistake on the size of both dresses only for them to decline my return and continue to suggest for me to buy more dresses and they promise to make those right. I would never buy from this website as they have bad service, and actually are promising false things on their website which say you can return if there is anything wrong with the dress. I do plan on reporting their website as I believe they are not upholding what they said on the site.

I looked on their website thinking they were based in the UK because of the 'co.uk', I spoke to the online chat service who reassured me there would be no issue in me getting a refund or returning the bridesmaid dresses if they weren't to my satisfaction, as I had paid for insurance. Only when the 2 dresses I ordered came, I saw made in China sewed into the dress. One of the dresses lace was torn across the shoulder and BOTH were extremely small. I had ordered a size 12 and it fit me perfectly and I am a size 8!! When I tried to get them to take them back they just sent me the same nonsense as everybody else, take it to a tailor, they are made to order blah blah blah. But the dresses were over 2 inches out of the required measurements I asked for. After battling them for over 2 months now, they have the cheek to offer me the 2 dresses for £120 or a £10 refund! I am so disgusted. I paid well over £150 for both bridesmaid dresses and this is the 'compensation' they 'think' I deserve?! Please do not waste your time and money, they have killed the experience of shopping for bridesmaid dresses and caused me nothing but distress and worry coming up to my big day. I would not wish this on anybody, so please... spend your money wisely else where.

I ordered a wedding dress and the finished dress is not up to standard at all. The neckline- a very important part of the dress is ruined and they are refusing to offer any reasonable compensation. The lace is awful and uneven and looks horrible. They are offering less than 10%. AND they do not publish any negative reviews on their site so very misleading. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE. Not worth it. The email communication is just a copy paste of previous messages not willing to answer any problems and just saying "the dress is nice we spent time on it" And it was a few days later than promised

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS WEBSITE. I recently bought a dress from this website for my daughters prom and i am teuly disgusted at the end result. A size 6 was ordered as she normally is however the dress is no where near right.the sweetheart neckline sits at the stop of her neck leaving her chest bare. The arms are horrendous and do not fit as it looks in the picture. The worst thing is there website states no refunds unles the dress is damaged. THE DRESS IS DAMAGED as it is not made anywhere close to how it should be. Truly disgusting how websites can rip you off for your money and turn a blind eye. DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING UNLESS YOU WANT TO FEEL ANGRY AND DISAPPOINTED, my daughter can no lonher attend her prom as it is too late to find a new dress. diydress.co.uk has been caught selling knock-off formal dresses After recent consumer submissions, we have investigated DIY Dress and added this site to the TPW Do Not Buy list. They are illegally selling one or more dress lines using the manufacturers pictures. These dresses are imitation and not authentic. Ordered 2 dresses in Peach - was sent 2 dresses in Tangerine. There only offer to put things right was for me to pay another £120 and they would send 2 new dresses in the right colour. Wish I had seen above before I ordered. Don't go there Folks!
