“restocking charge rip-off - beware!”

Written on: 30/05/2011

Boohoo delivery note says you may return the goods within 14 days of the date on your despatch note.

But when you return them within 5 days as I did, you get charged the restocking fee of £2

They must be making a fortune with this underhand charge!

They say on the website

  • 2 dresses £18

    Goods purchased & cost

  • On time

  • Quality of website

  • Value For Money

Hi there, my name is Hayley, I am the Social Media Advisor at I'd like to take this opportunity to explain the re-stocking fee charge. The re-stocking fee is charged for admin purposes as the items need to be re-advertised online for our customers to see. You can avoid the £2 re-stocking fee by writing to us or emailing confirming that you wish to cancel the contract with boohoo under the Distance Selling Regulations 2000. You need to write to us within 7 days of receiving your order and return all of the items in the order. I hope this makes sense. Please accept my apologies for the confusion caused.

Best wishes
Hayley x
