“restocking charge rip-off - beware!”

Written on: 30/05/2011

Boohoo delivery note says you may return the goods within 14 days of the date on your despatch note.

But when you return them within 5 days as I did, you get charged the restocking fee of £2

They must be making a fortune with this underhand charge!

They say on the website

  • 2 dresses £18

    Goods purchased & cost

  • On time

    Delivery

  • Quality of website

  • Value For Money

Hi there, my name is Hayley, I am the Social Media Advisor at boohoo.com. I'd like to take this opportunity to explain the re-stocking fee charge. The re-stocking fee is charged for admin purposes as the items need to be re-advertised online for our customers to see. You can avoid the £2 re-stocking fee by writing to us or emailing cancellations@boohoo.com confirming that you wish to cancel the contract with boohoo under the Distance Selling Regulations 2000. You need to write to us within 7 days of receiving your order and return all of the items in the order. I hope this makes sense. Please accept my apologies for the confusion caused.

Best wishes
Hayley
