“Avoid at all costs”

If only I had looked at the other reviews for this service then I would have never used them in the first place!! Lesson learnt. Please avoid this company at all costs. They will not deliver your order on time and then blame everyone else for their failure. I paid guaranteed delivery to ensure the costumes arrived for world book day but when I spoke to the post office they were very clear that the company had only used normal first class delivery. It is obviously impossible for me to know whether it is the post office or the company who were telling the truth but glancing though the myriad of terrible reviews for this company I know which one my money is on. Terrible customer service when I raised the complaint. There are numerous online fancy dress companies available please use them rather than these incompetents.

“STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!”

Do NOT order from these people!!!!!!!!!!! I've just had to endure 2 of the rudest people (including the most belligerent and sarcastic owner - what a joke)shout down the phone at me because THEY delivered my item late! I have never in all my life been spoken to so poorly and I am so ashamed of them I have to warn you...PLEASE DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE! You wont get your full refund as apparently there is a cap of £4.00 for a returned delivery (never got told that when I originally called about my item not arriving in time) I emailed 3 times - not one single reply - and called a third time today. They lied about not receiving the delivery when I have PROOF on Royal Mails tracked account that it arrived almost 3 weeks ago! My delivery cost me 11.99 to send back and they wont refund me! It's not just the money, its the people themselves. First I had the woman shout " I WILL TELL YOU WHATS GOING TO HAPPEN LADY"... Then I had the "OWNER" who wouldn't let me speak drill me as to why I didn't query the postage, why didn't I call them, why why why... WHAT A DISTRGACE! Steer clear people, steer well well clear

“WORST SERVICE EVER...COMPUTER SAYS NO!”

I rang up for a pirate outfit for my son and the lady I spoke to (who claimed she was the owner!) was the most unhelpful person you could possibly imagine. They basically didn't have any stock for pirate outfits and I asked what stock they did have and she said "check the website". So I went through the painful process of choosing outfit after outfit to be told "we don't have that...(repeatedly)" she went on to say "it's not my fault we're sold out". When I asked if she could recommend anyone she was offended saying "I could hardly recommend a competitor". I finally had enough of the appalling service and decided to give tell her some home truths likening her attitude to the COMPUTER SAYS NO character from Little Britain and then put the phone down. I will never reward a company for such an poor attitude. BE WARNED.

Hello,
When you rang I confirmed that all our Pirate Costumes were unfortunately out of stock and that our stock levels are visible on the website. However you gave me each individual product code so I could double check for you and confirm that each one was indeed out of stock. I was unable to recommend a competitor to you but If you went onto Google and searched for fancy dress you would find many other companies to choose from. This is when you started mocking me with your "computer says no" impression which was both extremely rude and unnecessary. I can only apologise that all the costumes you enquired about were out of stock. You called just after World Book Day had finished and we had sold out of nearly everything!

I'm sorry but your comments are factually incorrect. I did not call after World Book Day (WBD) the costume was for WBD which we did get from a very helpful competitor. I also did not do an impression of 'computer says no' but likened your service to this. I am perfectly capable of searching the internet for alternative websites, but simply thought that a helpful company would recommend someone as many other businesses do. You miss the point that your attitude to helping customers is poor and you made me feel like an inconvenience. You may regard customers and inconvenient but the fact is you need them.
The internet also reveals that I am not alone in my view of the poor quality service offered by your business. On this site alone you have 14, 1 star ratings out of 15 ratings in total. The picture is similar on many other review sites for your business. I only wish I checked this before I called you. It would seem to me a sensible thing to start listening to the feedback from your customers and do something about it, surely we can't all be wrong...Good luck.

It is unfortunate that most people will only write a review when they feel they have received a bad service. We send out hundreds of parcels every day so I do not feel that 14 bad reviews since 2011 is too bad. Unfortunately you cannot please everyone and if you feel that you received a bad service because I wouldn't recommend a competitor when I didn't even know which companies still had stock left during that busy period then that is your opinion and we'll just have to accept it.

“Avoid poor quality and service”

I ordered a halloween morph suit paid for next day delivery it arrived on time but was of poor quality stitching not very good . I tried it on and it didn't fit .my other morphsuit I had purchased from the morphsuit site was top quality..sent it back was refused a refund because they said the feet were filthy i had been nowhere in it i had tried it on.so i requested that the suit b sent back to me. on arrival I inspected the feet .they were indeed dirty but with old stains like it had been washed .ive come to the conclusion that they had already sold this morphsuit it had been worn sent back and they resold it to me .I also think that it is not an original morphsuit because the material and stitching is really poor quality I would tell everyone not to use this site unless you am prepared to loose money. I wished I would have read the reviews first lesson learned

“Worst customer service ever, and attitude to match.”

It is with a heavy heart that I have to write such a poor review, but feel that the level of service we received and the complete and utter lack of any customer service Warranted other potential customers to know what they are potentially letting themselves in for. We ordered three outfits from this company and paid for a next day service, costing in the region of £65.00. In their defence we did receive the goods the next day, but that is just about the end of the good news. all three outfits were unsuitable for a variety of reasons, so we decided to return them the same day at our own experience (£10.50 by registered post). A number of days later we received an email advising that they would credit us £ 34.94 with no explanation as the difference in price., after we questioned this we were advised that one outfit was marked and therefore they would credit anything for it. We pointed out to them that this outfit had being tried on for a maximum of 20 seconds and that there is no way it could have been marked by us., and they just simply said it is marked so no refund. The attitude of the manager was appalling, and has left us insulted and upset. I would avoid using this company at all costs., or be faced in my opinion with experiencing the poorest customer service possible. You have been warned :)

“Avoid . Rip off”

I ordered a costume for my son, The size on the website was 11-12(Large) I paid £9.95 to guarantee next day delivery. When it arrived the invoice said 11-12, the packaging said 8-10. I called them and spoke to an very unhelpful member of staff who stated that in their opinion the costume would fit an 11 year old. IT DIDN'T!! They then said I could return it, at my own expense, and they would refund the cost of the costume but not the postage. Incidently my return postage cost (next day delivery) Royal Mail was £4.95 . I am now £15 out of pocket . Avoid this company at all costs.

“Absolute Rubbish!”

Faulty product and rude staff. Do not use this company!! I bought a Belle princess dress for my daughter for her Hen Party. When it arrived, 3 seams had come completely undone so the dress was not fit for purpose. When I rang the company, the staff were incredibly rude; they did not apologise - it was as if they were expecting me to call and complain. I would definitely NOT recommend this company. Shoddy product, shoddy staff.

I would not order again from this company, as it is World Book Day i wanted a costume for my little girl she wanted a costume from this company. We paid for next day delivery. Unfortunately the item didn't arrive, it was stated that it was the wrong postal address, when we looked into this further the customer service team we spoke to were very unhelpful and very rude to us, and laid the blame on us. So if you are wanting a reliable friendly service, do not go to this site i will not be using them again.

“SELLING FAULTY GOODS AND REAPING THE PROFITS”

I ordered a Halloween wizard costume for my little boy as it looked brilliant on the web site. It never turned up the day expected but that was ok as we had a couple of days before Halloween so that was not an issue. When it finally did come my little boy was so excited. Only his excitement was short lived as when we opened it the costume was ripped from top to bottom so bascially no back to it. I got on the phone and spoke to a nice chap who said return the costume and he was sorry, he explained they get the costumes in from elsewhere and they are already packaged and they just send them out without checking. We had to pay to return it but still I never complained even though with a couple days to Halloween I now had to run around and find a costume for my lil boy who at this point was in tears. Anyway long story short we were in and out of hospital for a whilst and as you can imagine this was the last thing on our minds. So today my partner rang up to see why we had not had refund yet only to be told by the DISGRACE OF AN OWNER that she believed we had caused the damage and we were lying and we had been sent an email saying this was the case and no refund would be given!!! I then contacted her myself seems as though i was the one who actually opened the package but she was just as obnoxious to me insisiting that all there parcels were quality checked before sent out. I advised her that a member of her own staff told me different, and she said "yeah well we had temps in" so I suggested maybe if she has people working for her on the phones with potential customers, she should maybe tell them the terms and conditions of her company as they are abviously lying to get a sale! THE OWNER IS A DISGRACE. As she is the owner of the company she knows she can just say that she thinks you are lying and I'm not giving you a refund. I HAVE BEEN IN TOUCH WITH TRADING STANDARDS AND I AM WAITING FOR FOLLOW UP CALL. I really am not bothered about the refund but I what I find disgraceful is knowing I did not cause this damage and then to be called a liar by some obnoxious disgusting woman down the phone who i must say is extremely brave down a telephone!!! PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY AS YOU WILL BE DISSAPOINTED AND THEN HAVE TO DEAL WITH THE FACT THAT SOMEONE HAS THE CHEEK TO CALL YOU A LIAR WHILST SITTING THEIR HAPPY KNOWING THEY HAVE RECEIVED FULL PRICE MONEY FOR A COSTUME THEY HAVE PROBABLY SENT OUT TO MANY CUSTOMERS AND EARNED A FORTUNE FROM!!!!!!!!!

“shocking items shocking service”

Hi, ordered a wizards outfit for my son for halloween whic looked great on the website however when it arrived it was shocking how poor the item was. The seam on the hat was coming apart, the wizards face was squashed flat and the overall quality was poor. I notified the supplier who immediately offered money off or advised to return so I returned the item at my cost. I was then told that I had caused the damage and would get no refund and would have to pay to have it returned. I did this and took up the case with PAYPAL who found in my favour and had my money given back as it was clear that item and seller service was shocking. steer clear at all costs!!!!!!!!!!! Do not waste your money !!!!!!!!!!!

“Faulty outfit”

Must say a fairly quick delivery but when my outfit arrived I tried it on to find a seam was ripped, emailed the company for a refund and they said that it would have to be viewed before any refund could be given. (Fair enough) then read that a 25% handling fee will be charge if the refund was accepted, this is an absolute disgrace I have already paid for this item and as it was faulty I haven't been able to wear it. Then of course I would have to pay for the postage to send it back! I am very unhappy with this site and would never use it again. I would recommend nobody use this site at all!! I am a very genuine person and wouldn't rip something deliberate just to send back to get my money and that how I have been made to feel. I am very disappointed as this was for my hendo now how to look else where and spend more money which could of been resolved

I want to be clear that we’ll take an objective look and be fair in what we conclude…your implied threat of a bad review will not bias what we decide. “Dreadful customer service - Please avoid”

I really wish I had read the reviews on here before ordering from this abomination of a site. We required an outfit in a hurry for our sons school project. We ordered direct from the site and paid extra for a next pre-1pm deliver. After waiting in all morning (with the windows open by the front door) No package was received. After checking online, it stated that no-one had answered and that a note had been left. This was also not true. Now I know that delivery from royal mail is out of the control of the sending company and they cannot be blamed for that, however how they deal with customers is really what makes or breaks a company. We immediately called up allfancydress and were rudely told it is nothing to do with them and they would not help. After a rather rude exchange from the lady on the other end of the phone she hung up on us. I think my personal favorite comment during the phone call was "It's not my fault, I don't know your postman". *sigh* - Customer service wins again.

“Would Never Use This Site Again!”

I wish I had read reviews before I ordered from this site. Yes they deliverd quickly but the costume was way too big. I returned the item the next day for a refund but received an email refusing a refund because they said the material on the sleeves had been pulled on the velcro. I explained that I hadn't even tried the top on because it was so big! They refused to accept that it must have been faulty stock and were insistant that I had caused this damage. I have since read a similar review and would never order from this site again or recommend them! Be careful if ordering from this site because if the item is faulty you may not get your money back, and to add to the insult, if I wanted the costume back they wanted me to pay another £3 for the delivery!!

“Dreadful Experience Would Not Recommend!”

I bought a pink ladies jacket for my friends themed party. At first I thought great price and was glad it arrived quickly. All seemed well. During the party I noticed the jacket's stitching had all come undone under the left arm I was gutted as I had to continue my night with a massive hole on the under arm. The following day I was examining the hole and it was clear it was a manufacturing faulty as the stitching had all unravelled which I would deem as a FAULTY item. I checked the other arm to compare and noticed that to looked poorly made and as though that would also come undone. So I filled in a faulty returns form online and sent it back and just over a week later received an e-mail saying it was not a genuine fault and they would not return it! I called them to discuss why I would not return it but the young very inexperienced customer service girl I spoke to seemed clueless and said it was just wear and tear and what could she do about it? I suggested a second opinion, she agreed. 10 mins later the manager e-mails me saying 'it's in a non-refundable condition and that I choose to wear the faulty item' I called them back and spoke to this so called 'Manager' who made claims that it must've been me that damaged it, that the item possible was to small for me (even though it was advertised at a size 10, 12 and 14)that it had stains on it so I must of had one hell of a good night out! I'm just shocked that she would of even spoke to me like that. Very unprofessional and she clearly didn't even both speaking to the manufactures. Anyway they refused my refund and have spoke to me appallingly, their products are poorly made and their customer service is despicable. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this company!

“Pricing discrepancy and poorly made costume.”

The Harley Quinn/Harlequin Costume we ordered for our daughter plainly listed what was included for the price of £35.99. The info on the site page read as 'This Harlequin Costume includes black and red jumpsuit with attached boot tops, collar, eyemask, gloves, and headpiece' (reduced from £39.99), so we believed this costume to be in the sale. However, we were charged the full price of £39.99. When we queried this with the company they said that only a size medium without gloves was for the sale price of £35.99. The person we were dealing with from the company via email could not see the point we were trying to make about the way the costume was advertised on their site. Furthermore, instead of trying to sort it out she showed a great lack of customer care and believed they had done nothing wrong. She told us 'You cannot expect to order the full costume and still get it at the sale price' - even though the sale price was what was shown on the Harley Quinn/Harlequin page under the list of what was included! When the costume arrived we noticed that the eye mask part wasn't very well made, so we had to purchase a better one from elsewhere. Also the stitching on some of the seams of the costume were not finished properly and were starting to come undone. Part of the white collar was also starting to fray. The coffin clutch bag I was pleased with as it holds more than it would appear to from the photo. The delivery time was quite quick. We order new costumes every year for a Halloween party, but we won't be ordering from this company ever again nor will we be recommending them.

Just to add that we contacted Advertising Standards about this and they said

"Thank you for contacting the Advertising Standards Authority. I’m sorry to hear that this matter has caused you concern.

We think you’ve made a valid point in regards to the costume listing and, with a view to acting quickly, we asked the advertisers to make changes. I’m pleased to advise you that the advertisers have agreed to amend the listings to state prices as, for example “from £35.99” where the price doesn’t apply to all sizes/types in that range, without the need for a formal investigation."
