I really wish I never had the misfortune to try and advertise my car on Pistonheads.

Created a very detailed advert, with the maximum number of photos allowed, that gave way more detail than other adverts I'd seen on the site (complete dates for services, scans of receipts etc).

Out of 14 responses I got, most were from people saying "wots the best price m8" or "my brother says he's seen a similar car for less money" (well go and buy that one then!).

The remaining people were asking obsessively stupid questions and generally were timewasters.

Contrast this with my experience with autotrader and they couldn't be more different. Sensible buyers and the car sold within a day.

Avoid Pistonheads at all costs.
