We urged to see the original AD of a car seller who sold us a very dangerous to drive car. They said they don't have the original Ad because the seller has amended. Which I think is rubbish for a reputable website. Then I asked the gumtree people to let buyers the opportunity to review gumtree sellers. So that other buyers are aware and knows what to look for and how to be cautious from bad sellers.
Gumtree should have the original advert in case innocent buyers have problems with bad sellers.

Most if not all of you have found that gumtree is now a dead site. WHY, because of their severe attitude problem, they have a major chip on their shoulder and customer service is the worst i have ever seen for any company, they are very ignorant people. They try to charge sky high prices and whilst a few customers might be sucked into this, all you have to do is actually look at the number of new ads appearing, very few nowadays clearly showing that gumtree is now a complete waste of time and if you are stupid enough to spend your money with gumtree it will be wasted plus ... be warned, gumtree are likely to delete your advert even if you paid for it with no refund. Think twice, three times before you give them your credit card info, you will probably lose your money. However, if you do suffer theft by gumtree, issue a complaint to your credit card provider to get a refund, I am sure credit card companies are now fully aware of the activities by gumtree.

Gumtree gets worse and worse. They delete job ads saying it is in the wrong section, what a joke, they suggest a section which charges stupid prices, they must think people are stupid. I would never spend money with gumtree, they are well known to delete adverts and refuse a refund, completely illegal and theft. Tell your friends about this bad site and warn them, they will not get a refund if an advert is deleted. The staff at gumtree should be ashamed working for such a disgusting company …

EXPENSIVE and a waste of time now
It's so easy to spot a failing company, gumtree is one of them. They now have a terrible reputation , it's only a matter a time. Just don't spend money with them, you will not get the service and the chances are now very high that you will lose your money. As they say, watch this space
