VERY DISAPPOINTING PRODUCT AND AFTERSALES

Purchased Yellowstuff pads for a trackday, within 2 warm up laps the brakes felt awful. Turns out the brake pads had failed and broken up, trackday ruined! I got in touch with EBC customer service who straight away said there was no warranty if used on track and didn’t even ask to see any images! I explained they hadn't worn out rather large pieces had come away, they then changed their story to: as I only replaced the front pads with an EBC product, this had caused the front brake pads to fail?! I pointed out their website states its fine to use OEM pads on the rear, they replied'it shouldn’t say that but is does!? They reiterated no warranty if used on track. I’ve previously I've used Ferodo DS2500 on the fronts with no problem on road or track, my experience with EBC Yellowstuff is they're unsuitable for track work, my recommendation would be to pay the extra and get Ferodo, Mintex, Pagid etc or even stick with OEM pads which for me were superior than the EBC Yellowstuff pads.
