No pressure, no haggling, big savings

The concept is straightforward - you go to orangewheels.co.uk, choose your car and the options you like, and you get a price. It's worth pointing out from the very start that delivery isn't included (at least it wasn't with the vehicle I bought), so be prepared for a road trip - I found this quite exciting so I didn't really mind, but your mileage (!) may vary.

Even if you weren't originally planning to use a broker, it's worth a look because the discount price can be significantly less than the manufacturer's OTR price, and at the least you get ammunition for your dealer haggling (though good luck actually getting close!).

Anyway, once you've got your price, checked out the options, gone for a test drive locally, or whatever you need to do to decide, you fill in the enquiry form you get when you request a quote, and shortly after you get a call. The call just confirms your details and lets you know that you'll be passed on to a dealer who will call you soon after.

From this point it's like any dealer interaction (albeit over the phone/email rather than in person, which I found a lot less stressful): they go through your requirements, find you a car that's already built if applicable, or schedule the build and take a deposit etc etc.

The dealer I was matched with was excellent and didn't pressure me into buying any of the usual dealer things (wheel insurance, supagard weren't even mentioned which was a relief) - everything went through without a problem.

Having bought a few cars directly from the dealership in the last 5 years it was a very refreshing and stress free experience.
