“Refund received.... ”

★★★☆☆

written by buckle3166 on 29/11/2017

Was expecting .co.uk with a union flag in their logo to be a UK company. When invoice arrived it was clear they are in Hong Kong, which concerned me. When I then proceeded to read reviews I was alarmed to see how many negative feedback had been received. Thankfully paid via paypal and was able to request an refund before item had shipped. Took 5 days to be returned. Had I paid via cc it would have caused me substantial worry. Regardless of the outcome. Bought the item on black Friday and so of course I now have to pay full price for a similar item, not in a black Friday sale... from a UK source (which I had presumed I did anyway).

“10 Months and waiting ”

Negatives: Bought a Sony phone 10 months ago, item did not work and I sent it back after a couple of weeks. Still no replacement issued by Eglobal despite at least 30 emails saying it is being dealt with. Do not use this supplier "EVER", money and time chasing wasted. Positives: None whatsoever

Brought a watch, without knowing about the poor review about eGlobal. If I knew I probably would'nt went for it. However placing the order was easy, had a confirmation from them by email a day later, which tells you about the parcel being despatched. The package arrived with 7 working days - which was fantastic! No complaint...Maybe I am the lucky one

“Appalling After Sales Support”

★☆☆☆☆

written by McConnellin1956 on 23/03/2017

I bought a Canon compact camera from eglobal, which I have to say arrived in the advertised time slot. However, the charger was made for the US market and thus requires a three-pin US to UK adaptor. It is eglobal's policy to send the necessary adaptor in a separate package to the camera. Sadly, in my case they by mistake sent a Mains Power Lead. Trying to get them to acknowledge and correct this error has proved fruitless - they are now ignoring my emails. If all goes well you are lucky; however if there is a problem, I wish you luck!

“Terrible customer service - non-delivery of product”

I ordered on 11/11/2016. I used before with no problems. I have heard nothing this time regarding delivery. No response to enquiries regarding delivery. No response to cancellation request. Terrible! A complete nightmare.

“Poor customer service”

★★☆☆☆

written by Faris on 10/08/2016

Having bought a smart watch from EGlobal Central because it was slightly cheaper than elsewhere, I was not put off by the week it took to reach me. However when the straps on the watch broke about a month later (a known fault in older versions of the product), EGlobal refused to replace the straps. I found it particularly poor that they denied the request immediately without even looking into the matter or accepting return of the item to assess it. Instead they took a long time to respond to any communication and each time rejected the claim and said it was my problem. Moral of the story is that they may be cheap but you've got to hope that nothing happens to your product as it is more than likely that they will not honour the warranty

“Avoid this company, not worthy of the 1 star allocated.”

written by bxLacroix165 on 10/02/2016

I ordered some headphones, in Nov. which were supposed to be in stock and on 1-2 days delivery. These were for my grandsons xmas present. 7 wks later still hadn't received them. So decided to cancel and get a refund. Inspite of several emails I got no response from eglobal and no refund. I had to get Paypal to sort it out. On researching this company, they have no phone number to contact and it looks like they are based in China, not the UK as their Website leads you to believe. Do not be tempted by their cheaper prices, pay a bit more and deal with a reputable company.

“Avoid this Terrible company at all costs.”

written by Bateman131 on 25/01/2016

Ordered headphones as they were showing stock on 1-2wks delivery. 8wks later still not received. Difficult to contact and don't respond in a professional manner.  Keep stringing me along saying goods stuck in customs etc. Only thing stuck is my refund, which they don't want to return. Put them in dispute with PayPal. Not worth the 1 star I have had to give them.

“Item as described, delivered quickly”

★★★★★

written by ChristianSharp35 on 23/01/2016

I wasn't sure what to expect but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The phone has been delivered within few days. When I have received it, I was happy to confirm everything has been exactly as stated. I am really pleased with my purchase and in fact I went on to purchase my second phone from eGlobal. My only negative would be those pop ups on the website, they don't exactly inspire confidence and somehow I find they lower my confidence in the website. Many thanks!

Purchased an Nexus 5x 12 December money was taken a couple of days later. Never received product, tried contacting was unable to use online chat( it doesn't work) no email address, you are issued a ticket for them to contact you. Told product has been shipped using DPD but they never received anything. They aren't even in the UK its bloody China. I was lucky I paid on my visa card,so I rang the credit card company and got my money back. Please beware all is not what it seems.

“Worst Company ever - Avoid like the plague”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Tonybuk1971 on 21/12/2015

I ordered an Macbook Air laptop from this company late December thinking I was getting a good deal. Was advised that I would have my goods no later than the 4th December 2015. 4th December came and no delivery, so I contacted the carrier to be told that they needed an email confirming what the goods were. Sent the email and followed up with a call only to be told that the seller had stated on the paperwork that the goods had been declared as a Camera costing £13 and not a laptop at £650, as to avoid paying import duty and that I would have to pay the duty for the goods to be released. Contacted the seller to advise of this and they simply told me to pay the duty costs, send them the receipt and they would then refund me. Why couldn't they pay it direct Luckily I paid for this item via Paypal and I have had to submit a claim I have finally got my money back today after 3 weeks of chasing. I am passing all these details on to trading standards and customs and excise as this company should not be allowed to get away with what is considered to be a fraudulent act by under declaring the cost of items and also declaring the wrong goods. Any feedback left for this company must be false as I cannot see how anyone can experience good service from this Company

“Awful Experience with this Chinese company”

★☆☆☆☆

written by TheBastow on 10/11/2015

I ordered an £224 camera from eGlobal UK - and it arrived severley damaged. The likelihood is this happened in transit, but my experience of trying to claim a refund has been horrendous. eGlobal have been of appauling. I must have sent them over 50 emails to which they responded to only a handful. In order to claim a refund they had to contact the courier and request this on my behalf. For some reason they would't do this. Eventually after 2 weeks of chasing them they got round to doing this, but kept the money and didn't tell me! I only found out by calling DHL in China! So I had to raise a dispute through PayPal - and this finally caught their attention. For some unbeknown reason they made me return the damaged item to them and as they're based in China this cost £20! They were only going to refund me $25 for a camera I'd paid £224 for, but when I upgraded dispute to a paypal claim they offered me a full refund. It has taken a total of 6 weeks to get my money back and countless emails. I am still £20 out of pocket due to postage costs, but I am going to write that off. Be very wary when dealing with these people. I certainly won't ever do so again. Also, despite their best efforts to look like a UK company they are in fact based in China and have no customer services contact numbers.

“Outstanding”

Obviously I can only speak from my experience. Communication was first rate from confirming order to detailing delivery including carrier. I bought a Canon lens - 24-105 L (white box). Packaging was superb, everything exactly as described, delivery within a few days, saving several hundred pounds, no manual, you can download from internet, I think they said on the site. Perfect, very happy.

“Not a UK product!”

★★☆☆☆

written by nicolapezzi on 12/05/2015

Like many others I bought a mobile phone thinking it would be a UK one, their website clearly says UK everywhere, including the email address they use for correspondence. I was lucky enough not to be charged import duties or any other tax, delivery was quick but the mobile phone is the Asian version. I am lucky that my provider (3) uses frequencies which are compatible but it would not work with other UK providers. Also I understand there is an issue with warranty and I could not register the device with Sony UK.

“Do not buy from eGlobal uk”

★☆☆☆☆

written by barannie on 04/11/2014

Do not be fooled by this company. I purchased a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.5. I mistakenly ordered from them thinking it was a website I had used before so did not make my usual checks. I tried to cancel the transaction within minutes of my online purchase but could not open the link. The device arrived within days from China. The invoice was for Camera Parts £11 no serial number of the device. This is how they fraudulently avoid Duty & Vat. I also had no written Warranty nor Terms and Conditions. This means that at any time they can change these terms. Within a week I could see the device had a fault. I contacted Samsung UK who went into it remotely and found a fault in the software. I told them it came from China but they assured me it still came under there warranty. The Tablet was returned to Samsung UK for repair but was returned in a few days untouched. It seems that no registered Samsung engineer is allowed to repair it because it comes from outside the EU nor can I ever have it repaired in the UK even if it is out of Warranty. Also the system is different as those in UK. This is not mentioned in there terms and conditions. I have been in touch with eglobal on numerous occasions to ask for a full refund. They will not do this so I submitted a RMA ticket. They insist I return it to them at my expense and promise me a refund if the fault comes under there warranty. You can see from other reviews that this will not happen. For this reason the matter has been taken up by my credit card company under Section 75 of the consumer credit act. I have also sought advice from Consumer help line who have told me that because there was no written terms and conditions nor contract in the package there terms and conditions are invalid they are also restricting the rights of consumers. Hopefully this will all be resolved in my favour. No way will I return it to them, I may never get it back. So please do not be temped to buy from company. I wish I had never gone into there website.

Why did your terms state on the 15th Dec that you pay VAT and after I complained about the £57 tax charge from DHL, did you then change your terms on the 18th Dec to say buyer pays VAT? Why if this is not so did you email me telling me the DHL thing was an error and you would repay my £57. Why did you then not repay me my £57?

Hi, I cannot really fully answer this members query, however what I can say is this, It appeared that e-global had not taken into account whatever laws a particular country has when it came to importing goods certasinly into the UK… I ordered a camera from them at whatever price whilst iI was awaiting delivery I happened to speak with an oldfriend who also bought a camera from them when it arrived on UK shores he was contacted by the couriers and asked to pay outstanding VAT. This he did do, he then contacted e-global who in fairness re imbursed him the monies quite quickly From my side my goods arrived quickly and with no nasty comments from the Tax Man… I have recently received a message from e-global advising that their Terms and Conditions have changed, in short this means that the customer will pay the price shown but once the item arrives in the UK any outstanding monies, VAT etc will be soley down to the customer. Hope this helps

I can tell you from experience that the chances are you will get hit with Import Duties which will be about 24% of your total purchase. Customs and the couriers have caught on to this company and they know they are mis-labelling item eg. Warranty Replacement Camera Spares value £13 when in fact my item was a Nexus 7 £192. No decent courier will collaborate in this, it's more than their business is worth. I am waiting to see if eGlobal will refund the £45 it cost me to get my purchase released. According to the reviews on this website this is also going to be a hit and miss case. Once I had placed my order and realised it was coming from Hong Kong and not the UK the whole thing was more worry than it was worth. I wish I had just ordered the item from Amazon themselves(not one of their associates), I would have paid £206 whereas now I have paid a total of £237 which is £2 short of the RRP. My advice to all is don't do it. Read back these reviews and you will see a trend. They have only been shipping to the UK just over two months. As time has gone on the bad reviews have become more frequent. Also my item has a two pin charger for which they included one of those annoying UK adapters.

I was in a state of panic when I realised, after placing an order for a Nikon camera, that eglobal wasn't a UK company. The company assured me that IF there were any customs charges that they would refund them, but I was unconvinced. My camera arrived far later than expected, but too late for my godson to take it back to South Africa, and it is not for the European market so I have had to download English manuals. I was lucky in that I wasn't hit with additional charges so it actually was a bargain. I think what the company was banking on was that only a few items would get caught at customs and that any duty payable would be small as the stated value is, as the previous poster has said, very low as it is described as a warantee replacement. I didn't pay for fast shipping so mine just got lumped in with general mail and therefore missed customs eagle eyes. I think they are more likely to be spotted if sent by a priority carrier such as fedex. This is actually a moot point now as eglobal have emailed me today stating that with effect from today's date that all customs charges will be the responsibilty of the buyer, so it sounds as if their little tax dodge has been jumped on. How clear this is on their website will be a whole other story and I haven't checked it yet. I certainly won't be risking another purchase, despite them giving me a nice loyalty bonus. I'm just glad I am one of the lucky ones who got my item at the price on the site and without the additional charges.
