Been waiting over a month for my order. Money was taken from my account 2 days after I ordered it, after 2 weeks and no lens in sight I emailed to find out where my order was. I was told it had been lost by the courier but a replacement would be sent. 1 week later I had no lens or confirmation that it had been sent, a further email got the reply "will be dispatched in the next 24 hours..." Again, no confirmation email. After contacting them again I was told 'It doesn't appear to have been sent..." (NO SH*T???). Was then told the dispatch department would contact me directly... nope. A phone call and I was told the same again... STILL WAITING!!! I have no idea if or when I will get my order. Awful customer service, they do not seem to care about lost or delayed items. Camerabox and Digital Camera.com should be avoided at all costs. Very poor service.

In addition to this review, when I contacted them today 19.05.11 I was told the lens is now out of stock and they do not know when more will arrive. When I was told my initial order was lost their website was still advertising 7 units for sale, but the price had gone up. So they continued to sell the lens at the higher price before sending my order. The only thing they could suggest was to refund my money. God only knows how long this will take. I have been in touch with Citizens Advice and Trading Standards who say Camerabox are in breach of contract by doing this. Please please please avoid ordering from this awful company.

I ordered a Sony camera in febuary half my order was sent complained and was told had I read the terms and conditions by a very rude member of there staff after over ten phone calls 5 emails I got my other half of my camera 8 weeks later this company are a load of s--t do not order any thing from them . I hope they go BUST you can not take hard earned money from customers and treat them this way

Ordered the Canon EOS 600D plus extra batteries and a card, plus a canon zoom and a tokina wide zoom.
Some of my order arrived on around 10th March 2011 (its now April 26th) , the Tokina lens never arrived. Camerabox are treating me like dirt, they can't be bothered to keep me informed, I am at a loss as they have my money and act like i am wasting there time when I call, I am really unhappy being treated like this

Ordered the Canon EOS 550D twin lens package. Recieved the camera and 18-55mm lens in 6 days. 55-250 lens, still waiting for, despite several calls and being told it was being despatched, but was'nt, several emails to say it should have been despatched but was'nt, and looking into reasons why, LIVE STOCK STILL SHOWING QUANTITIES IN STOCK, SO SELLING TO NEW CUSTOMERS AND NOT ONES WHO HAVE ALREADY PAID. Extremely BAD customer service, absolutly no way I would recommend or use again. If only I had read Camerabox reviews before placing an order.

I ordered and paid for a cannon sx30 on the 6/4/11 and it has still not arrived by 14/4/11. I was told it had been dispatched on the 8th however city link have only contacted me today, 14th to say I may get it tomorrow ?. I have sent a number of emails and contacted the company by phone who do not seem to know where my camera is or when it should arrive. I would'nt buy again from camerabox.

Service very poor.

When I ordered the camera just before 06.00pm,it was packaged and shipped from Camerabox,next day followed up by email to say it was despatched.I had chosen the free delivery service.Once the carrier picked up the parcel a working day later I got word of delivery date from City Link with a number if I needed to track it,not required in this case, followed up with e'mail from Camerabox confirming that date.The camera arrived on the third working day as promised within your 2-4 working day delivery.Thanks for your prompt service,would use again.

Re Nikon camera with twin lenses bundle. -- Frightening! Got replies to email and phone when ordering and paying. After that,silence on phone. Never picked up or answered. Got through to on-line manager on email. 2 answers to about 5 emails. Despite repeated requests he could not tell me who the delivery agent was. I didn't find this out until City Link contacted me.Order made on Thursday 31/03/2011. Delivery was due by Thursday 07/04. Arrived 11/04. It wasn't the delay that worried me( you could have said 2 weeks delivery time and that would have been o.k.),but the fact that no-one would answer me.Didn't do my blood pressure any good!
I got as far as asking the credit card co. for a form to claim my money back. Look at the reviews on this site and others. Aren't you all worried about your jobs? There is no after payment customer service. Bernard Hughes.

oh dear me

i only wish i had read the reviews before i had placed an order

2-4 days delivery, in realitiy a week before it was dispatched and then another 3 days for citylink

price cheapest, product no problem

phone line pathetic,

sorry but i would rather pay an extra £10 to another company than have this silly hassle over delivery.

if i owned the company some butts would get kicked!

Two and a half weeks ago I ordered a lens from Digital-cameras.com (or Camerabox) and received an email to confirm it had been dispatched.

After 2 weeks of silence and no camera, I tried to get hold of camerabox.com by ringing them up, had to wait nearly 10 minutes. Eventually I got through to them this week for them to tell me that, to their surprise, the camera had been lost in transit and they weren't sure when they'd next get it back in stock. To top it all off, the person I spoke to on the phone offered no apologies and seemed not to care that the camera had been ordered so long ago and they made no effort in letting me know that my purchase had been delayed. After 2 more phone calls (10 minutes waiting time), Camera arrived after 4 weeks Avoid.

“Order process on website was OK ”

Order process on website was OK

Follow up security was a concern but OK and logistics guy awas apologetic and helpful

Website said goods ready for despatch for two weeks.

After 10 days phoned to find out what was heppening, got Chris from sales. How could he possibly help he is not in logistics so did not know why status was such, I muttered "some service" and he accused me of being abusive. I don't recall such a rude and ignorant approach to a customer before. he then teld me to wait until next day and if no delivery then to call again.

I phone a few days later, during 9-5 and got a guy in logistics who said this should have been despatched by now and the camera arrived the next day. Logistics obviously good at customer care while sales jus rude, some changes needs in sales methinks.

Goods arrived safely and a bit suprised as no instruction manual. Concerns now over product as registering it on Nikon states serial number not through their formal channels, still to follow up on this with CAMERABOX.

Ok Lets be frank.
CAMERABOX You need to ship items when you say you will.
CAMERABOX You need to offer next day delivery on everything its 2011.
CAMERABOX You need more trained people to answer the phone
CAMERABOX You need to stop lying to customers
CAMERABOX You need better order tracking on your website
(order received is not good enough)
CAMERABOX You need to do all the above or you will go out of business its not rocket science sort your company out because people are getting the message
"DO NOT BUY FROM CAMERABOX THEY ARE RUBBISH"
And you only have yourselves to blame

I 100% agree ordered on a Friday, phoned first to check stock and confirm that the camera would defo arrive next day, this was promised!!! Gave them my £500 plus told a friend who brought the same camera. Then no camera sat, mon or tues. So I rang 40mins waiting time on the phone... Promised wed!!! Rang wed explained I needed the camera for an event and if they didn't have stock please admit it, again promised camera thurs. Rang fri explained I wanted money back so I could go to a shop to buy thus time a 3rd 40 min wait!!! Got some crap about delivery services not being able to do next day as very busy???? Long story short it nearly tues... Still no camera, email says here tomorrow that's to be seen! Very strange how I was allowed to collect camera from them or delivery company! The moral...just don't bother!!!

Camerabox, what a sham!!! I would not use this incompetent company again or ever recommend it to anyone. I ordered a lense on 28th March 2011, and was assured I would receive it within 2 to 5 working days. I spoke to them on 6th April 2011 (10 days later, still awaiting delivery) after waiting 20mins on hold, was told it had been dispatched, spoke to them again on 7th April 2011 (on hold 20mins again) and was told I would receive it before 7.30pm that same day and if not delivered, to ring them on Friday 8th April 2011 to start an investigation. Not delivered, fed up, therefore CANCELLED ORDER on 8th April 2011, they do not deserve my custom. Received e-mail on 11th April 2011 from Camrabox confirming that lense has been dispatched!! EVEN THOUGH I HAD ALREADY CANCELLED MY ORDER. Been in touch with courier and was told the lense had been collected 11th April 2011 (am) told them to return to sender. My view of this company is that they need to answer phones quicker, not to lie to customers, and need training in costumer services (VERY RUDE ON TELEPHONE).

Ordered camera on 5 April 2011 and was delivered on 11 April 2011 via City Link, not bad. HOWEVER, send lens (55 - 200m) was not delivered with the original bundle I ordered. On the invoice inside the parcel it said 'to follow'! Phoned up Camerabox to query this as they didn't inform me that it would come in seperate parcels as I esp took a day of work today to receive the parcel. Shocking Customer Service, useless staff who don't seem to care at all. Advised me 2nd parcel was with Royal Mail (obviousily a cheaper option for them than City Link). Spoke to Customer Service Manager who didn't seem to care as well. Now waiting for me 2nd lens via Royal Mail. Won't buy through them again.

Have used Camerabox previously (about 12 months ago) with great results; excellent customer service, speedy delivery and great value for money! Therefore they were my first choice when spending almost £1,200 on a Canon EOS 60D, lens kit & flash gun. Much as the last time the prices looked very competitive so I placed my order (all items were showing as in stock); HOWEVER, my money was taken immediately, but the goods were not delivered as promised! I had to call several times and spend over an hour on the phone to chase my goods up and have still not received my second lens (I ordered over 2 weeks ago!) Never any apology or good will gesture and no-one ever got back to me as promised or let me know that I would not receive my second lens with my camera body! Could go on for ages, but short version is ... DO NOT USE IF YOU WANT ANY AFTER SALES SERVICE!!!

Have to be honest and say I got good service! Emailed a question and got a quick reply, article was despatched and delivered on time (even though City Link left it with a neighbour but didn't knock on our door or leave a note! - not CameraBox's fault.)

Phone line is poor to be fair and doesn't allow you to leave a message when you press 'one' which it says you can.

If I'd read these reviews I probably wouldn't have used them, but as I say, I can't fault the service (though I haven't tried the lens yet!)

I ordered on the Monday and the person I spoke to on the phone promised that my order would arrive by the Friday as delivery was 2-4 days. It was not dispatched from their warehouse until the Friday, despite being in stock, and didn't arrive until the following Tuesday. I am very happy with the goods and the price. However, I can only echo what some other reviewers have said about this company: don't believe any claims made by the staff or on the website regarding delivery times.
