Had great history with this site but recently ordered an Ipad2 through global telephone on the pixmania site. I have somebody who signs for parcels to my home address as I am at work all day. All that greeted me when I got home was a neatly packaged empty box delivered by courier (paid extra for the privilege and fast delivery, more fool me). Either of the companies or the courier company stole the contents. Despite multiple emails have not even had an email in reply.

I know I'm at fault for not checking contents on delivery but under consumer law I'm entitled to some kind of remedy as the contract is between Pixmania/global telephone and the courier to deliver a product to me and at the very least I should bet an email in reply to a complaint if customer service means anything.

Am still raging. Have learnt very expensive lesson. Will have nothing to do with Pixmania and global telephone in the future and have warned everyone I know to avoid them. A one star rating is generous.

Hello,

I have just read your review and would like to apologise for the trouble you have had with the delivery of your order.

We always recommend that parcels are checked on delivery and refused if there is a problem.

If a parcel is refused and returned to our warehouse an immediate resend can be done.

In this circumstance, as the parcel was accepted, an enquiry has to be opened with the courier.

Finally Pixmania refunded me on 31st August 2012, six weeks after the transaction first went through. I was impressed that they agreed to the refund in the circumstances (that gets them maybe 1 to 11/2 extra stars in the review) but not at all impressed with their customer service. But please persevere if you have an issue. We haven't gone away you know ... and eventually you could get a resolution like in my case. However original comments still stand, will think hard before using them again...
