The order was placed on 27/01/2012.There was no advance telephone message to say that delivery was to be effected in any following day. We waited in every day to find that on 31/01/2012 the delivery company Yodel had left a preprinted card on the gate to say that the parcel was to be collected from their service centre in Loughborough.The driver had neither bothered to ring the bell or enter the premises which are gated but unlocked.Yodel told me that evening on contacting their head office that I could not take deivery at their warehouse,that the card that had been left was " out of date" and that I had to wait until 3 deliveries had been effected and then I could take delivery at their warehouse.In the event,the next day I went to their warehouse to be told that the delivery vehicle had left.The deivery was made successfully to the house that day.You may care to look up "Yodel" or "HDML" on the web.They do not get a good report.I would suggest that in future,given the nature of the fragility and size of the products being purchased it would be sensible, at the very least, that telephone contact is made before delivery.
