“Becareful of this site”

Written on: 24/03/2015 by yourcandy (9 reviews written)

Madbid.com madness. Signed up for an account depositing £300. Lost the Apple set auction I was hoping for but got £224 back from a promotion they were doing. So I topped it up with another £132 to buy a DSL camera from their website and two days later they flagged my account as being suspicious. I then sent in the required documents requested, a scanned copy of my licence, latest council tax bill and signed declaration but despite all this they it still isn't good enough! They said they… Read Full Review

“Warning! this is dangerous”

Written on: 05/02/2015 by 134Willis (1 review written)

You pay to bid for products and there is no way that I can see you would any up with A)the product B) a product at a cheaper rate than you could buy anywhere else. A waste of time and money. Gave up on the bidding and tried to cut my losses by buying the product at the stated rate. When the payment was to be made the rate changed to the 'recommended price' I think this site is not honourable… Read Full Review

“Warnng Keep Away”

Written on: 30/12/2014 by Weeksyy282 (1 review written)

You will be wasting your time and your money going to this site. Before you can bid on anything you have to buy credits that work out at 10 pence each ( rrp ) Some items you bid on can cost 80 pence each and every time you place a bid. With only a few items up for auction at a time and with bids rising by 1 pence at a time, you can see that to reach £100 it will take 10000 bids at 80 pence a bid. The only thing you are lkely to be bying on this site is the credits to bid. Stay well away and… Read Full Review

“bunch of cheaters!”

Written on: 27/09/2014 by 143Hickey (1 review written)

I had used a number of their "offers" to purchase cheap credit and had spent few hundred quid as it was obvious that amount of credit available was critical factor in winning any auction. Tried bidding few times without any luck. The choice of items on offer is generally very poor and unattractive (except maybe for Apple fans). After some time my remaining credits worth few hundred quid simply expired without any notification or warning! Pure theft! DO NOT USE EVER!!!!… Read Full Review

“STAY WELL CLEAR”

Written on: 10/08/2014 by Smith367 (1 review written)

This site Is made for people who genuinely want to give away money for nothing I paid £49 for 500 credits and got another 500 on top for free so that was a thousand credits all together the first thing I done was studied how things worked then I went to the Closed Auctions to see the prices of things already sold I saw an iPhone 5s apparently sell for £68 and a Nexus 5 apparently selling for £20 so now I was hyped and ready to bid so I went to the Live Auction and bidded on an iPhone 5s for… Read Full Review

“Madbid ”

Written on: 08/08/2014 by AlfredoTennant (1 review written)

I signed up originally to Madbid after seeing it advertised online. I joined and got some bids for a few pounds as part of the buy one get one free offer. I used them to gain more bids rather than won items until I figured out how to use it and what I wanted. So I left the bids in my account for a few months and totally forgot about them. I had about 5000 for under a fiver... Then I logged in again and got laptop and mobile phone for £150. I'm happy with it as they are items I needed for my… Read Full Review

“Money down the pan”

Written on: 05/07/2014 by Giuliana1977 (1 review written)

I read a review in a newspaper and stupidly thought it may be worth a go. I think I paid £50 and got 'double' credits. When you have countless people all bidding on the same thing, the only way they will drop out is if they get bored or they run out of credit. In the end, I ran out of credit. I wasted hours of my time 'bidding' along with all the other hope-fulls, then finally ran out of credit with not a thing to show for it. My advice... don't touch Madbid with a bargepole!… Read Full Review

“Easy way to lose money”

Written on: 29/05/2014 by Watkinsuo478 (1 review written)

It is just an easy way to lose money, more mad at myself for falling for it, you pay for 'credits' what isn't made clear is the credits are just for bidding, each time you bid it takes a set amount of your credits until you have no credit left, so you have spent the money you have paid and you get nothing in return. The reviews I read prior, I now believe are actually adverts, not written by real reviewers. Basically you pay for the privilege of bidding… Read Full Review
