“STAY WELL CLEAR”

Written on: 10/08/2014 by Smith367 (1 review written)

This site Is made for people who genuinely want to give away money for nothing I paid £49 for 500 credits and got another 500 on top for free so that was a thousand credits all together the first thing I done was studied how things worked then I went to the Closed Auctions to see the prices of things already sold I saw an iPhone 5s apparently sell for £68 and a Nexus 5 apparently selling for £20 so now I was hyped and ready to bid so I went to the Live Auction and bidded on an iPhone 5s for… Read Full Review

“Madbid ”

Written on: 08/08/2014 by AlfredoTennant (1 review written)

I signed up originally to Madbid after seeing it advertised online. I joined and got some bids for a few pounds as part of the buy one get one free offer. I used them to gain more bids rather than won items until I figured out how to use it and what I wanted. So I left the bids in my account for a few months and totally forgot about them. I had about 5000 for under a fiver... Then I logged in again and got laptop and mobile phone for £150. I'm happy with it as they are items I needed for my… Read Full Review

“Money down the pan”

Written on: 05/07/2014 by Giuliana1977 (1 review written)

I read a review in a newspaper and stupidly thought it may be worth a go. I think I paid £50 and got 'double' credits. When you have countless people all bidding on the same thing, the only way they will drop out is if they get bored or they run out of credit. In the end, I ran out of credit. I wasted hours of my time 'bidding' along with all the other hope-fulls, then finally ran out of credit with not a thing to show for it. My advice... don't touch Madbid with a bargepole!… Read Full Review

“Easy way to lose money”

Written on: 29/05/2014 by Watkinsuo478 (1 review written)

It is just an easy way to lose money, more mad at myself for falling for it, you pay for 'credits' what isn't made clear is the credits are just for bidding, each time you bid it takes a set amount of your credits until you have no credit left, so you have spent the money you have paid and you get nothing in return. The reviews I read prior, I now believe are actually adverts, not written by real reviewers. Basically you pay for the privilege of bidding… Read Full Review

“MADBID, more like might as well set your money on...”

Written on: 26/05/2014

I saw a website talking about how easy it was to get cheap goods on madbid and also they have 5 star reviews. Obviously this site must have been set up by the company as it can't be true. I got 500 credits and they doubled it on my first deposite. I didn't reslise till half way through the items can cost different a outs of credits depends of how much it costs retail. There was an item down to 5 seconds and still cheap at £140 when it's £1000 retail. So I bid at 2 seconds and then it went… Read Full Review

“The publicity makes out that this is a brilliant...”

Written on: 10/10/2013 by robbo6600 (3 reviews written)

The publicity makes out that this is a brilliant auction site. In reality it is nothing but a lottery and it is questionable whether anyone actually wins. You can't just bid and wait for an 'auction 'to end as the auction automatically restarts. The credits you have to buy in advance are spent by entering the bids. There is an automatic re-bidding process, this spends your credits very quickly. There re reports of people suffering massive charges where there card details have been used to… Read Full Review

“Okay after reading a review about this site I thought...”

Written on: 21/09/2013 by Nash70 (1 review written)

Okay after reading a review about this site I thought I would have a look, I purchased 75 bids for £9.99 and got another 75 for free. The way it works, you place a bid and it resets a timer, if the timer reaches 0.00 minutes then you win. (Remember this and read on) I went in and won another 75 bids for 1p which is okay but they add 49p for admin!!! Next I saw Gourmet Society Membership, I thought I would see if I could win it , they go for £69.99 for a year’s membership, I got it for… Read Full Review

Similar thing happened to me....counter went to zero but I didnt win the item. I tried again. Same thing, counter went to zero and again I didnt win the item. Seems to me there must be a system program which calculates how much they want to make on each item and they hold back a sale if they havent met that target. Of course there will always be those wins that look too good to be true but they need those as marketing tools and powerful word of mouth pass ons. Im hoping there is something that can be done as I feel totally ripped off and know the same must be happening to many others. Small claims court maybe. Of course I tried to complain but all they have come back with is there were no error reports issued for the day and time i was bidding. Error reports are only as good as the data you ask them for. Treated me like a fool!

Full of rubbish. Fees days ago I was opened an account with madbid and start deposit money in, to buy what ever they called credits bid, then I found out I can bid automatically simple just click auto bid. Then just leave it run out my credits. But then next day when I checked my history purchased then I recognised somehow some strange purchase of £19.99 many times which I didn't click to buy. Then u decided to ring madbid customer service and ask how and why. Hmmm they said because I didn't… Read Full Review

“Madbid.com”

Written on: 02/11/2011

Madbid.com, what a site... for starters yes it does work, I personally haven't bothered using the site. Furthermore my father has and he loves it, before he went mad on the site however he tested it out by bidding on a teddy and winning it. He understood it straight away (and he's not the greatest with technology), and has told me how clear it all is. He decided to show me how it works and i realised how much fun he has on it. I told him that i would read reviews on it, before he went on it… Read Full Review
