I wish I had read these reviews before choosing Lloyds TSB for an international account. I opened an off-shore premier account in April and have experienced a total lack of service delivery or interest in customer care. It seems that once they got the money all service stopped. Expensive calls to a slightly arrogant call centre to sort matters out have not helped. They cannot call back (no doubt due to call costs which they prefer the customer to pay). They can't even Email you back so all communication is at massive cost. The call centre seems to have no regard for international call costs and will happily take 10 minutes to verify you and then keep you holding on, while they contact other departments to sort things out. The Debit card arrived eventually, after I had to track it down myself via the courier company but the seperatly sent PIN number did not arrive possibly because it had not been sent, but no explanation was forthcoming other than the standard "sorry for the inconvenience" spin. So now they have to cancel the debit card and start again. No confirmation of my fixed term deposit has been received either. Do not believe the marketing hype on their website - their service is terrible, full of red tape and ridiculous internal bank rules - stay away.
