Do not buy as Persimmon house. The build quality is simply awful, and worse still is the after sales service. I bought a house on a Persimmon development in Wivenhoe. The development is now 15 years old. The central Water feature a 70 meter pond has still not been handed over to the residents as its has never worked for more than 12 month, a requirement to hand over. Last year Persimmon gave up maintaining the pumping and filtration system. It is now a 70 meter stagnant lime green pond. They have ignored the residents, the local council, the county council enforcement offices and have now been served with a Breach of Planning consent notice. No doubt they will ignore this too. Legal obligations do not apply to Persimmon.
