Item: Natwest Step Bank Account
I opened this account 18 months ago after nearly lots of problems with a previous bank.
This account does offer a Solo debit card, but obviously no overdraft or credit facilities (but trust me, when you're having credit problems, the last thing you want is more credit!).

I opened a Natwest Student Account when I started at university in 2004. I had generally been pleased with them until part way through this academic year (2008). I started to get some very aggressively worded letters from their collections department despite still being within the overdraft they had given me, granted I was only £20 short of the total. When you are setting up a new company the last thing you want is complicated banking. This is exactly what has been going on with my Nat West Business Bank account since April. I deposited £1000 in my business bank account the day I finally got the account numbers. I wasn ' t able to then access it for many weeks. i was very happy with Nationwide internet banking with being able to check everything, because I am in Germany I am able to keep track.

I have a Natwest advantage gold bank account and love it. My husband and I were both paying £5.99 each mobile phone insurance but now we have them covered with the Gold account. We saved £540 on a family holiday to Florida and £392 on a family trip to turkey and our travel insurance was free with teh advantage gold.
