Sainsbury's little ones eco nappies used to be a very good product, personally rating them better than the more expensive Nature baby care (NBC)nappies. Very rare that they'd leak (especially at night - the real test!) whereas NBC were a little prone to leakage. A good fit and the side tabs didn't tend to rip off (unlike NBC), although the only noticable weakness was that the whole side tape could occasionally rip when stretched over a particularly wriggly target.
A month or so they re-designed the product to a slimmer and different cut nappy.
The second thing you notice is that you can nolonger tell which way around the nappy is until fully opened i.e. tabs unravelled, not very helpful when pinning them on a moving target.
More importantly however is they constantly leak, even when they are still fairly dry. Not sure if its the cut, pad position, pad absorbancy or what ever, but it results in a much less 'green' and much more expensive product as you have to change nappies and clothing more often which increases clothes washes etc.
I have emailed Sainbury's to ask why they revised a good product to a faily useless one and am waiting on a response. I could have expected this from Tescos but suprised by Sainsbury's.
Additionally we have tried beaming baby and bamboo Eco samples, both were ok but one had much shorted tabs than the other, just can't remember which was which.
Also Nature Baby care pull-ups (Boots on-line) are OK for daytime use but again prone to ripping when being put on.
We are back to NBCs until we find a better night time Eco option or the potty training is complete
